Ch. 6: "Missing You"

~Bailey's POV~:
The boys went on a tour of Minneapolis today with only them and their management team. They said it was band exclusive otherwise they would've brought us along. While I sat home alone, since Ava is at a family Christmas party, I decided to listen to more 5 Seconds of Summer. I'm friends with them so I should at least know their music.

I was listening to a song called 'Beside You' which is actually really good. Suddenly the music was interrupted by the sound of my text ringtone. Who's trying to talk to me? I'm being alone here...who's interrupting my aloneness? I looked over at my phone and it was Ashton.

I unlocked my phone and read the text, "Missing You. Wish you could've come with :(" was all it said. It was a nice text though. I wish I could've gone with cause I'm bored...and lonely. Ugh.

My sister barged into the room, "BAILEY!!!!" She jumped on my bed and squirmed around. She's so weird...

"What is it Maddie?" I laughed a little at her energy. She's a crazy 14 year old.

"Christmas Eve is in two days!!!" Christmas is her favorite holiday...she gets a little to excited for it every year.

"Yeah it is. Two more days." Two more days and Ashton will be gone, along with the other guys. I frowned. We all got so close so fast and now we'll be in different countries. Two days and they'll be gone forever...well maybe not forever but kinda...

"What's wrong Bailey? You look sad." Maddie poked my arm and tilted her head to the side as she looked at me with concern all over her face.

"It's nothing Maddie. I'm fine." I faked a smile. Maddie smiled lightly back. "I'm excited for Christmas." I lied...it's a great holiday but this year it's the thing that separates me from my new friends.

"Well good because it's going to be a good one this year!!!" She yelled again then ran out of my room. I just laughed at her again.

~Ashton's POV~:
The band went on this tour of Minneapolis. The whole time I thought about Bailey and how she showed us a small part of this city. She showed us that cool waterfall that was hard to get to. I was so scared. I'm not used to ice so don't make fun of me...

I texted her but I instantly regretted it...I said I missed her. Is that to much? I feel like she'll think I like her or something...I don't know if I do or not but if I do I don't want her to know...she probably doesn't like me so it's embarrassing.

She didn't text me back but she saw it soooooo this is awkward. I knew I went to far. Ugh I have one more day here and in two days I'll be gone. It's a little sad to be honest. Ava and Luke will miss each other even though they won't say anything about that...and I'll miss Bailey. Sure we're only friends but she's fun and I'll miss that. Maybe one day she can come to Sydney where it's not as cold...if we stay friends.

I have to see her tomorrow without a doubt. Christmas is coming fast and I'm running out of time to make sure we stay friends. I don't want our friendship to end. She's one of my best mates, after my band mates.

When our tour of the city ended, I have to admit this place is kinda cool, I decided to call Bailey. Seriously this place is kinda nice. Target was founded here! I love Target it's a nice place.

"Hello?" Bailey answered her voice was soft and sweet.

"Hey Bailey it's Ashton." And that started the two hour long conversation. Bailey and I talked about all kinds of things, anything that came across our minds. At the end we finally talked about the worst topic. Us leaving.

"Ashton I'm gonna miss you in two days...I can't believe you're leaving so soon...it's...unreal."

"I'm gonna miss you too...we've become so close these past few days." I said quietly, choosing my words carefully.

"Yeah we have. I wish you could come back but you have to continue your tour..." She sounded disappointed and sad as she spoke. I wanted to hug her but she's in her house and I'm in a hotel room.

"Hey I'll be back...and aren't you on winter break for school anyway? You could come with us on our tour until you have to go back to school. I can get you a plane ticket back to Minnesota the day before you go back to school if you want to come with for a few days." Wait am I inviting her to come with us on tour after Christmas? Umm I'm not sure how the other guys will feel. I could invite Ava too I guess. "And Ava can come too..." I'm in trouble now...

"Really Ashton? You can do that?" She sounded relieved and happier then before. I really can't be doing this but it's to late now, it's happening. "Ashton I'd love to come! I'll have to ask Ava and my parents first but I'd love to. Thank you."

"You're welcome. It's nothing really." Actually it is something, a big something and I'm probably going to get punished for this eventually. It's worth it though since it makes Bailey happy and I'll get to hang out with her more. Good because I lost a lot of friends back in Australia when I left for this tour...it's good to make new ones.

"Well it's getting late I better go to bed. Goodnight Ash."

"Goodnight Bailey. See you soon."

"Yeah see you soon." Then she hung up. Well I guess I'll have a few more days with her now. That's nice.

I spent the next few hours watching Family Guy, my favorite TV show, on Netflix until I fell asleep. I dreamed about Luke and Calum on a date...it was weird. Oh well I ship cake. They should just get married...hahaha. Now that would be a sight to see. Maybe that'll be my dream tomorrow night.
