Ch. 15: Starry Nights

~Bailey's POV~:
I woke up to pee, because humans do that, and noticed the change in speed that the bus was going. I checked my phone for the time, 4:26 am, great. I went up to the front of the bus and the driver looked absolutely terrified.

I raised an eyebrow at him, "Hey...is everything okay?" I asked startling him. He legit jumped two feet in his seat.

"Um I think we have a flat tire actually...and we are in the middle of nowhere so no it's not okay." The driver spoke rapidly and his eyes darted around from side to side. He was freaking out.

"Do we have any spare tires?" I asked hopefully. I don't want to be stranded in the middle of farmland.

"No...no we don't. Why are you even up right now miss?" He asked. I don't know if he actually cares or if he's just trying to get his mind off the obvious stress he's going through at the moment. We are only driving like 25 miles per hour anyway...the stress must be about getting to the next city on time.

"Um I had to pee." I said with little emotion. "Should I call someone? You know to get us a spare or something?" The driver wasn't even paying attention to what I was saying, "Hellooooo?"

"Sure go ahead." The harsh tone was a hint to back off so that's what I did. I went and sat on those couches we had played Truth or Dare on earlier. I went to my contacts and realized I don't have anyone to call...I don't know anyone who could help. I groaned, maybe one of the guys knows someone?

I got up and tiptoed to the bunks. I heard Ashton's loud snoring, it's so loud that I could hear it from the back of the bus. I climbed the ladder up to his bunk and shook him. He finally woke up after a few minutes of desperately shaking him, and finally, plugging his nose and covering his mouth. He woke startled and gasping for air, I'm sorry I had to wake him up somehow...

"Hey Ash...the bus has a flat tire we're still moving-" I paused as I heard the bus driver shout out a word I'd rather not repeat as the bus slowly came to a stop. "So do you know anyone who could get us a spare?" I asked.

Ashton sighed and grabbed his phone. He called some number and some person I didn't know. After a few minutes he said goodbye to whoever he decided to call and looked back at me, "Okay I told Adam what happened. They said they noticed that our bus hasn't been following theirs' for a while but ignored it. So I guess they're gonna go get us a tire then come back for us." He mumbled, probably hating the fact that he's up at 4:30 in the morning.

"Okay." We just sat there in silence for a while. I got bored and got up off his bunk. When I had finished descending the ladder Ashton spoke up.

"Hey where are you going?" He whispered, trying not to disturb the other guys. They're deep sleepers anyways...

"I'm going outside to look at the stars. I've always admired the way a night sky looks." I smiled when I finished and grabbed my coat. I then slipped on my black converse and headed to the front of the bus. Ashton soon followed behind me, unexpectedly may I add.

He gave me a smile, "Can't let you wander around outside by yourself...and I also love the way the stars look on a clear night."

The bus driver opened the door for us after a lot of begging and we stepped out into the slightly chilly air.

We both looked up immediately and the stars were more beautiful then I thought they'd be. When you aren't in the city you can see the stars more clearly and there seems to be more of them. It's breathtaking. I moved away from the road and collapsed on the soft grass. Ashton joined me and we just laid in silence.

After a while I heard the sound of a vehicle approaching. It's probably the other bus with Adam and the rest of the management team. I stood up as I heard the bus stop. Ashton stood up too. A guy I didn't know came out of the bus with a giant tire and a tool box.
He walked over to the bus and told our driver something before he started propping up the bus to change the tire.

By now everyone who was on our bus had come off to see what was going on. The guy finished after about 30 minutes. Everyone got back on their busses so we could try to get to the next hotel on time.

I climbed back into the bed. Ava had already managed to fall asleep within 5 minutes. I laid down for a while before my eyes grew heavy and I had also surrendered myself to slumber.

A/N: So I'm currently finishing my first class of the school day: pottery. It's pretty boring so far and I suck at art so I might fail this class...we'll see.
