Meri stepped into the long, familiar hallway once again. Today was the day. He had explored much of the hallway, and the secret room under the floor. Today, he was going to go through one of the other walls.

In hindsight, it probably wasn't a good idea. Like, at all. There was no telling what kind of worlds hid behind the innocent bricks, but Meri thought he wanted to take that risk - even though his lovely Russia told him not to because that was stupid and he could die. So he did it anyway out of spite.

Dumbass.

Walking away from the wall labelled Black Coffee, Meri wandered down the hall, looking at all the labels.

Prove Me Wrong? That was Ame's world and he wasn't sure he wanted to talk with him right then. The Wolf? Sounded a bit ominous. Take Two? Sounded like a movie thing and Meri didn't really want to be on a damn film set again. Forty-Third Fabrication? Cool, but sounded like it involved maths and fuck if he was gonna answer a goddamn equation to enter a random world.

Meri finally stopped at a particularly dark brick wall. Drifter. Sounded interesting enough, one word so that was a bonus, plus it reminded him of motorcycles, which is just cool.

Looking to the right, a silver plaque caught Meri's eye - a description engraved in it.

A more rugged world than a traveller is used to. Take your time to enjoy it, as it is truly an interest in many ways. But be careful, as some things may surprise you in more ways than one.

Meri smiled. He liked surprises. This place didn't sound so bad - maybe a story about a race or something. He pushed on the bricks and one made a clicking noise as the whole thing crumbled to the ground, revealing a large picturesque house and a fairly big back yard.

Stepping onto the bright green grass, Meri listened to the wall behind him re-shape and silently prayed no one would try to kill him.

Meri slowly made his way towards the house, debating if he should make his presence known.

On one hand - this person could be aggressive and attack him out of left field. On the other hand - they may have a dog, and Meri wasn't passing up that kind of opportunity.

Inside the house, America scratched the back of his neck as he yawned, still sore from the day before. Slipping on a tank top, he exited his room, needing to take out the trash and not wanting to go outside with his back exposed. He scanned his living room, looking for a certain pack of cigarettes with his name on it. He smirked as he set his eyes on them, doing a little jump as he made is way over to them.

He fished a lighter from his basketball shorts, taking out a cigarette and making his way to the trashcan. America yawned once more as he heaved up the full bag, beginning to light the cigarette.

America popped his fingers and stretched his arms, twisting the lock to unlock the door, then turning the door handle as he took a drag on the cig. He hoisted the bag up higher on his shoulder, grabbing another one near the back door.

Meri saw some motion towards what he assumed was the back door and decided it was now or never.

"HEY! HEY YOU!" Meri called to him, waving an arm high at him.
