Isn't it scary? how in one single moment, your entire life can change? Wether it be a miracle or a curse, it happenes in a single, small instance. There is absolutely nothing you can do to stop it, it's compeletely out of your control. Doesn't it frighten you? Because personally, I'm terrified.

Hinata POV

What the hell is that??....ugh it's so loud.....
Why is there a loud ringing sound in the middle of a volleyball match?? AArgghh its so distracting!! I'm going to miss Kageyama's set! The serve is coming right towards me! Gotta receive! Ready....ready...closer...CLOSER.....BAM!!
Oh it hit me in the face...that isn't good...damn that ringing is SERIOUSLY getting on my nerves-

"Shoyoooo!!" someone was whining my name?? "Turn the alarm off!! I wanna go back to sleeeeep!"

And thats when I realized it was dream...
Oh, the ringing was the alarm...that made sense. Not wanting to get up or open my eyes, I felt around untill i found the larg plastic cube, and swiftly chucked it across the room. I was pretty sure I broke it...oh well, atleast it turned off.

"Eeeek! Don't do that Sho!!"
And then I felt something soft hit my arm, repeatidly...was someone actually trying to hit me? they sure weren't doing a good job of it...
Slowly, I opened my eyes to find my kid sister Natsu glaring at me with a tiny pout on her chubby face. Her flaming hair wild and messy as ever. "You made me awake!!" she pouted, "Anyway, Mom says to come down for breakfast!" she said before stomping off.
"Nyh sorry.." I said groggily. I was still tired and didn't feel like getting up, but it wasn't like I had a choice. For some reason, I had a sense of dread hanging over me, was something bad happening today? oh right, we had a test....AAARRGH I was so gonna fail! Well, atleast that explained why I wasn't at all excited to get up, usually I would be itching to get to volleyball practice. Oh well...I sighed, and got out of bed.

As soon as I entered the kitchen, my mom greeted mw with a warm smile.
"Good morning Shoyo!" My mom said "Breakfast is on the table."
"thanks mom!"
"Sleep well?" She said as she sat down next to me.
"Mmhhmm!" I nodded, my mouth full of pancakes. I swallowed and said "I dreamt about volleyball."
"Again?" My mom laughed "you really do love it huh."
I nodded "we were winning this time too!" I said, grinning.

I really loved my mom. Just by smiling at me, she could make all my worries melt away. She was the type of person who would make people laugh when she laughed and cry when she cried. That was just the type of influence she was. She could light up the entire room just by being there.

My mother had long red hair that was curly, but not as curly as mine. The long sunshiny locks reached down to her waist, and the front strands were tied back, held aways from her clear hazel eyes. There were small crinkles around her eyes, due to how much she smiled. It didn't make her look old though, just kinder. Her smiles were always warm and her voice was always calm and gentle. She was the type of person that never raised her voice, but could still be very stern and commanding. She was patient, and I knew it couldn't have been easy to raise two kids all on her own. Still, she didn't get mad often, but when she did, it was always the cold dissapointment, which always hurt more then anger anyway.
She helped me study when she could, although she didn't always have time seeing as she had a full-time job. She never got frustrated with me, and she never gave up on me. And when it came to volleyball, she supported my dream with everything she had. She never told me there was something I couldn't do. She said it didn't matter if I was shorter than average, if I worked hard, I could be the best spiker on the planet if I wanted to be. She was my major support.

Because no matter what, she would never give up on me, or be dissapointed in me for not succeeding.
She loved me,
and she would always love me.
No matter what.

My mom ruffled my hair and smiled again, before turning serious "Did you study for your test last night?" she said, a hint of suspiciousness in her voice.
"Ehehehe....I did a bit?" I said, though it was more like a question.
"Really?" She said skeptically, "because your textbooks are all still in you backpack which is sitting on the floor by the front door."
"Ok fine you got me." I said laughing sightly and putting my hands up in surrender "But I promise you I studied the night before!"
"Well good luck!" She smiled, whisking my now empty plate away and setting it gently on the counter. "Anyway you better hurry and get to school Sho! your gonna be late."
She was right, it was already five fifteen and practice started at seven. "Eerk! your right mom bye!"
"See you after school Sho!" My mom called, waving goodbye.
"See ya!"
"Love you Shoyo!"

With that, I grabbed my bag and my jacket, raced out the front door and hopped on my bike. The sun was just beginning to rise, and even though there was a sea of dread settling in the pit of my stomach, I couldn't help but smile at the freshness of the air as I sped down the highway, towards Karasuno High.

Later, I would find myself wishing I had said "I love you" back.
