Cody Takes a Stand pt. 1

~~~~Raya~~~~

I sat in the snow near the trees with the others, waiting for Blackwargreymon to come for the Destiny Stone.

We had hid the stone in a large pile of snow and just stayed out of sight, but my mind was occupied with other thoughts. Mainly, about Rayla.

After the others explained what had happened to me the other day, I felt more off than usual, like something was digging into my mind and heart just trying to escape. I figured that was Rayla trying to break free.

But how I developed this alternate, dark personality is still a mystery to me. Although, I have noticed that when I black out, there's always a sharp pain in my neck and a dark voice calling out to me. I just had to find out where that pain and voice came from, then I can get rid of Rayla.

"Raya?" Luna said, snapping me from my thoughts. I looked down at her in my arms and then up at my friends who gave me a worried expression.

"You sure you're up to fighting, Raya?" Tk asked. I noticed the sadness and worry in his eyes, but I smiled and nodded, setting Luna down in the snow.

"We should get going." I said, "I can feel Arukenimon and Mummymon close by."

Everyone agreed to get moving and our digimon digivolved. We ran around the snowy fields and found our enemy digimon attacks Mojyamon.

"Just tell us where the Destiny Stone is." Mummymon ordered, but he was cut off by Paildramon shooting his wires and claws at him.

"Sorry to interrupt. You were saying?" Paildramon asked teasingly.

"Static Force!" Silphymon followed with their attack, hitting Arukenimon.

The Mojyamon walked away to escape the inevitable battle that would happen between us and our enemies.

"I knew those Mojyamon weren't smart enough to hide the Destiny Stone on their own." Arukenimon said anmoyed by our presence, "Now where is it?"

"Do you really think I'm that stupid that I would just tell you where we hid it?" Davis shouted.

Just then, we heard something rumble behind Arukenimon and Mummymon. We looked up towards the cliff edge behind the two digimon. Suddenly, I began to feel cold and started to shake while I wrapped my arms around my body.

"Now who could that be all the way up here in the North?" Mummymon wondered aloud.

"Raya, what's the matter?" Lekismon asked me, noticing my shivering form.

"Blackwargreymon." I whispered, "He's here."

As soon as I said that, a lsrge clump of snow burst to life, revealing that Blackwargreymon had been hiding in the frozen North.

"It's Blackwargreymon!" Kari shouted upon seeing the dark digimon. My shaking increased upon seeing him.

"You pathetic fools." He said, "No matter where you hide the Destiny Stone, I can find it. I can sense where it is instinctively."

Blackwargreymon fired his Terra Destroyer attack and hit the pile of snow covering the stone, revealing its location.

"Great. So much for Davis' hiding spot." Yolei groaned.

Paildramon and Lekismon flew into the air to battle the dark digimon.

"Desperado Blaster!"

"Ice Archery!"

The two attacks missed Blackwargreymon as he jumped out of the way and into the air.

"Terra Destroyer!" He shouted, firing his attack again at Paildramon. However, the digimon moved out of the way, and the attack instead hit the Destiny Stone, destroying the band wrapped around it.
