~~~~Raya~~~~
I sat on the couch with Luna and Genki as we watched the news on tv. The news was blowing up on the topic of the digimon sightings around town. Quickly enough, people had summed the situation to a practical joke, but the authorities were still on alert.
"Raya, Luna, will this stop soon?" Genki asked.
I sighed and held him closer on my lap, hugging him tightly.
"I promise, Genki, all of us are gonna beat Oikawa." I said.
"Yeah! Raya's gonna make sure that everything goes well. Don't you worry about a thing, Genki!" Luna exclaimed happily.
Genki smiled and snuggled deeper into my chest. I smiled back at him and looked back at the tv. Everything was going to change, and I wanted to make sure my family and friends were safe.
Suddenly, I felt something. It was hard to explain. The feeling was dark, but warm. Close yet far. I looked down at Genki. A part of that feeling was coming from him, the warm and close feeling.
But where was the dark and far feeling coming from?
~~~~Cody~~~~
I was praying at my dad's shrine with Grandpa sitting at the table nearby. Armadillomon was underneath the table being as quiet as he could. When all of a sudden, the two of us heard a loud grumble from under the table.
"Cody did you hear that?" Grandpa asked.
I slightly panicked, but hid it well.
"Sorry Grandpa," I said hastily, "That was just my stomach growling."
Grandpa reached under the table, hearing Armadillomon under there. As he bent down, Grandpa's juice pouch was made visible to the yellow digimon partner.
Armadillomon, being as hungry as he was, snatched the pouch from my grandpa's hand, frighting him at the same time.
"Hey it took my prune juice!" He exclaimed.
"Uh oh, I made a boo boo." Armadillomon said as he came out of hiding.
"And it talks as well!" Grandpa said.
"Sorry Cody," the digimon apologized, "But when food's put in front of me I just can't help it."
I sighed, "We all make mistakes." I said as I picked up Armadillomon in my arms, "Grandpa I'm sorry for keeping this from you, bu-"
"Aha!" The old man interrupted, "I knew something fishy was going on. I knew that stuffed animal was filled with more than cotton balls."
I looked at my grandfather, confused as I watched him walk onto the patio.
"You can't fool me.. Let me guess," Grandpa said in a serious tone, "He's not from this world, but transported here from another dimension, perhaps even a digital one."
My eyes widened, hearing my Grandpa talk about the digital world was way to crazy for me to believe.
"Am I hearing you right Grandpa? You know about the digital world?" I asked.
"So that's what you kids call it these days. It was only a matter of time. I knew that you would have to know at some point." He said, "Although, I didn't expect it to be so soon. You see Cody, it was about your father."
"About Dad?" I asked.
Grandpa nodded, "When your father was young, just around your age, he always talked about going to some strange place and meeting someone in a digital world."
