~~~~Wormmon~~~~
I stood in front of Ken, my emperor and partner, looking at his upset and angry expression.
"Oh, no, he looks upset today, which is like every other day." I thought to myself, "Maybe I could try to cheer him up."
As Ken came closer, I walked up to him, "Hey, Ken, did you hear about the man who-" I didn't get to finish my joke, as Ken kicked me away, "I guess you heard that one already."
I followed him to his observation room, where he sat down in silence.
"Master, what are you watching?" I asked, but he didn't answer.
"Join us as we talk with young genius, Ken Ichijouji." A reporter on the screen said happily. The cameras switched and showed Ken standing with the crew.
"I'm just your average boy genius." Ken replied on the screen.
"You're so modest. Do you spend a lot of your time studying?"
"Most geniuses do, but I'd rather play soccer."
Ken looked down at his feet as we listened to the reporter talk and ask questions. We stated silent for a while, just sitting in awkward silence.
"Cheer up." I said in best happy tone I could muster, "You can destroy someone tomorrow."
~~~~Ken~~~~

As I sat there in my lair watching the news report on me, I remembered things from the other day when I did that interview.

I walked into my family apartment, just wishing I could go back to the digital and continue my conquest, when my mother appeared in the living room doorway.

"Oh, Ken honey!" She said in that sickly sweet tone of hers, "Your dinner is ready, dear." The disappeared back to the kitchen.

I closed the door behind me, upset that I couldn't get past them quickly.

"Ken, it's getting cold." My mother said.

I set my bag down against the wall and went to the dining room to eat.

"It's your favorite, dear. Liver, squash and lumpy mashed potatoes."

"Saw you on the tv today, tiger." My father joked, "Soon you're gonna need a stick to keep all of the ladies away, just like your old dad."

I sighed, put down my chopsticks and stood up.

"I've lost my appetite." I said. My mother asked if something was wrong, but I brushed it off saying that it was nothing.

I quickly went to my room and opened the door to my veranda and climbed the ladder to the roof, looking out at the pathetic fools that waste their time living their sad lives.

All of then weren't worth even half as much as I was worth. There was only one person this entire world that could come close.

"Master? Master?" Someone said to me. I ignored their voice and got out of my seat, walking towards the wall with the hidden computer keyboard.

"Don't be depressed." That voice said again, "I've got an idea, let's grab some dark rings. We'll capture a couple of innocent digimon and make their lives absolutely miserable. That should make you happy."
