Ultimate Anti-Hero

~~~~Kimiko~~~~

"Fire Rocket!" Flamedramon shouted as his body was covered in flames, rocketing towards one of the control spires.

"Way to go!" Davis said as the control spire went down.

"Tri-blade!" Galahadmon yelled, attacking another control spire, which turned into three.

"Amazing, Galahadmon!" I cheered. I could hear the others attacking more and more control spires around us, even Raya was somewhere nearby to help us destroy the spires in the area. However, even though we were making good progress on destroying the control spires, all of us could sense the tension between two of our teammates.

That would be Cody and Ken.

Cody was stubborn to give Ken a chance to prove that he was trustworthy.

Ken was accepting the fact that he'd rather be alone, or at the very least, with Raya. He just didn't seem to forgive himself for the pain he caused the digimon and their world.

Meanwhile, Cody was just unforgiving while holding a massive grudge. It seems that he can't forgive nor forget. I just hoped that they would get along soon.

"That's 147 so far today." Davis shouted to the others from a high tree branch, "I think we should all take a break."

"I second that!" A voice shouted from above. All of us recognized the voice as Raya. When we looked up, she was in an Angewomon Digi-form, before she landed and turned back to normal with Lunamon in her arms.

All of our digimon went back to their normal forms and were ready to chow down in some junk food, especially V-mon and Coronamon.

"I'm getting kind of thirsty." Kari said as she and Gatomon walked over to me.

"There was a vending machine with juice back there aways." Tk said. I smiled, remembering the machine not too far from here.

"Well, then why are we over here?" Patamon asked, tipping over Tk's hat over his eyes.

"I hope there's milk, preferably in a saucer." Gatomon said.

"Hey, count me in!" Davis said jumping down from the trees, "It'll be easier with three people going to get drinks."

Davis turned to me and smiled, "You want anything, Kimi?" He asked.

I felt my heart beat a little faster but calmed myself down.

"If they have orange creme soda, I'd like that." I answered.

Davis nodded and then walked off with the others and their partner digimon.

I walked with Tk, Kari and our digimon to the vednign machine not too far form where we were.

"Say Davis?" Kari asked, "Can I ask you something?"

I turned my attention up to her, her head turned around to face me.

"Sure. What's up Kari?" I replied.

"I've been noticing that you and Kimiko are pretty close." She said, making me freeze for a fraction of a second.

Tk smiled and turned his head towards me too.

"Yeah, I've noticed that too." He said, "You seemed closer to her since that whole Giga house incident. You saved her life back there didn't you?"

I felt my ears burn and I knew that my cheeks began to burn. I knew they were smirking at me.

"I knew it!" V-mon said, "You like Kimiko!"
