It is Friday!! This week has been so long. Since that day I overheard Dom's conversation, I have been avoiding everyone like the plague.
I have been having my lunch in the library except for today since Jinnie dragged me to the cafeteria before I can even head there. She also bribed me with a cupcake.
The guys noticed my return but did not comment on my disappearance. Dominic was sitting across from me when he saw I was at the table.
"Let's do something fun now that we finally have a day off," Noah says which causes Olly to nudge him. Weird.
"Why don't we have a sleepover?" Olly suggested. We all look at him.
"What? Come on, it could be fun."
"I think it's a good idea. We can have it at Amelia's house since her parents are never home. Right Amelia?"
I shrug while taking a bite of my carrot.
"Sure, why not."
"Dom you coming?" Noah asked him.
"No." He grumbles looking at me when he says it.
After school, I head home to clean up a bit and get things set up for the sleepover. Jinnie drove with me to help since it was her idea to do it at my house. We begin moving the furniture in the living room to make more space.
I grab some extra blankets from the linen closet while Jinnie puts her overnight bag in the guest room, which is basically her second bedroom. I decided to bake some cookies as a snack for the guys. I was deep into mixing the ingredients and ended up getting flour all over myself when the doorbell rang.
Jinnie went to answer it since she was not doing anything but sitting there watching me. I hear the guys come in and start settling down in the living room once I finish rolling up the dough onto the baking sheet. I preheat the oven and bend down to put the cookie sheet in.
"Damn," I hear someone whisper.
I turn around and see Dominic standing in the kitchen doorway. Grabbing the rag off the counter, I quickly wipe my hands and attempt to wipe the flour off my apron.
"Hi," I mumble.
Dom walks up to me and takes the rag out of my hand reaching up to wipe my nose.
"You missed a spot."
"Th-th-thanks."
Eli comes into the kitchen interrupting the moment. Dammit Elijah!
"Hey Amelia, is it cool if I order a pizza?"
Dom steps back creating space between us.
"Yeah that's fine."
Elijah walks back out doing some weird happy dance.
"I thought you weren't coming." I said.
"Changed my mind." He shrugs before joining the other.
When the pizza arrived, they all sat on the living room floor, munching. I notice Jinnie gets that creepy grin on her face when she is up to no good.
"Why do you have that face?" I say, looking at her confused.
"How about we make this sleepover a little bit more interesting." She says,
"What did you have in mind?" Noah says all interested as he smirks, dusting off his hands. Jinnie runs upstairs then returns with a bottle of vodka.
"Lets play truth or dare. If you chicken out, you take a shot."
"I don't know, Jin." I tell her hesitant, since drinking never leads to anything good.
"Loosen up a bit, Amelia, it'll be fun," Jinnie reassures. I reluctantly give in before I go take the cookies out of the oven and place them on the counter to cool off. Then, Jinnie starts the game.
"Oliver, truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Is it true you're still a virgin?"
Oliver looks around nervously but gives up and takes the first sip of the night. He sulks in his corner.
"Way to start off the game Genie." He grumbles calling Jinnie the nickname she's hated since we were kids. She smacks him upside the head.
"Ow!" Oliver shouts.
"Elijah, truth or dare?" Noah questions, ignoring his friend's outburst.
"Dare," he says, bouncing a bit in his space.
"I dare you to call your mom and tell her you got a girl pregnant," Jinnie and I snicker together.
"Fine by me."
Eli pulls out his phone and dials his mom. It's a few times of nothing but ringing till finally she answers after the third ring.
"Hello?"
"Hey mom I have to tell you something."
"Oh lord, what did you do this time?"
"I accidentally got a girl pregnant."
"How on earth do you get a girl pregnant by accident?! Elijah Marie Donavan I'm going to kill you!" She shouted. Elijah looks like he is going to pee himself while the rest of us are trying to hold in our laughter.
"Mom! Mom relax it was a dare! It was a dare!" Elijah gets up and walks down the hall, trying to calm her down over the phone.
We all looked at each other, then burst into tears laughing at the outcome before continuing the game. After a few rounds Eli returns, and everyone is pretty much trashed.
Besides Dominic of course. I have a slight buzz after avoiding a few private truth questions.
"Okay Dommm," Oliver slurs with emphasis, "dare or dare?"
Dom shakes his head at his mistake chuckling slightly. "Dare."
"I dare you to give Amelia a nice big smooch." Olly lets out a giggle.
Dominic looks at me as if he is waiting for any sign if he should do it or not.
Do I even want him to kiss me? Does he want to kiss me?
Dom frowns slightly before he reaches for the vodka bottle and takes a sip. His action makes my heart sink.
Why didn't he do it?
I don't get it.
Oh, so he can kiss your neck but not kiss you.
"Um okay." Jinnie breaks the awkwardness. "Noah truth or dare?"
"Truth."
"Is it true you killed a guy?" She jokes.
"Nope."
"Man, yes you have. Just last week you-" Eli nudges him to shut him up. Jinnie and I stay frozen. Noah looks at Olly like he just told everyone he poops out rainbows, while Dom is giving him a look that can put him six feet under.
