Breathing heavily, I make it to the bottom of the hill not expecting to see the sight in front of me. The tables have turned, Dom is holding Vince at gunpoint. Even with the possibility of death, Vince still wears that arrogant smirk.
"Well? What are you waiting for Dominic?" Vince teases.
Dom removes the safety off the gun and pushes the barrel onto Vince's forehead. Will he really do it? Wait, where's Sasha? Right there I hear the click of the safety being removed from another gun right behind me.
Slowly turning I see Sasha standing with a gun pointed at me. A gasp escapes my lips catching Dom's attention. His eyes widened in fear.
This is it. If he kills Vince, Sasha won't hesitate to shoot. The pressure begins to weigh on Dom's shoulders, confliction visible in his eyes.
I turn back to face Dom and plead with him. He can't let this opportunity slip away. After years of torture knowing the death of parents falls into the hands of this man right in front of us, Dom must do the one thing he has been determined to do since he joined The Liberated. This has been his goal all along and now it may not be possible because of me.
Ever since Dom has met me, I have caused him nothing but trouble. I joined The Liberated, I got the information from Jackson, I figured out the information about the Halloween party and the Devil's Candy, and I am the idiot that managed to get tricked, drugged, tied up, and now held at gunpoint. I must make this right.
Thinking back to the self-defense lessons Dom gave me, I swing my elbow back jamming it into Sasha's stomach. She hunches over, one hand holding her stomach the other barely holding the gun.
I roundhouse kicked her in the face, knocking the gun out her hand and she was unconscious. Looking at Dom, I nod to let him know I'm okay. The slight attention on me attacking Sasha had him lower his gun slightly.
He makes his way over to me and does a once over to make sure I'm okay. Vince sucks his teeth.
"Didn't Enzo teach you anything?" We look to see Sasha's gun in his hand. "Never take your eyes off the target." He fires a shot at me.
"NO!" Dominic shouts shielding me from the bullet. He collides to the ground holding his left shoulder that is leaking with blood.
"Oh my god, Dom are you okay?" I get down and try to apply pressure to his wound. Sheer panic fills my face as I try to figure out what to do. Vince is nowhere in sight.
"Fuck fuck fuck. This is all my fault." I cry.
"Bambi, I'm alright."
"Alright? Alright?! You have a bullet in your shoulder! You could have died for trying to play Superman." I shout.
"Listen, I will always protect you, even if it means taking a bullet." His voice begins to slowly fade with every word he says.
"Dom... Dom.. Dominic!"
Sorry for the cliffhanger!
