After getting over my initial shock, I ran up to call Jinnie because let's face it, I can't dress myself. Jinnie was here in less than three minutes which was scary since she lives 10 minutes away.

"Go shower and shave while I clean this mess up and find you something to wear." I may have trashed my room looking for clothes while waiting for Jinnie.

Hopping into the shower, I make sure to wash my hair using my strawberry shampoo and making sure to shave every inch of my body. I don't expect anything to happen on the first date but it's better safe than sorry.

After the shower, Jinnie forces me into a chair and starts curling my hair and my makeup. My knee was constantly bouncing, not being able to sit still.

Why am I so nervous?

"All done!" she squeals. "Here put this on." She hands me a black turtleneck, since it's starting to get chilly outside, a rust color skirt, and long black over the knee boots. "Okay sexy mama!"

Looking in the mirror, my hair has a natural wave to it after Jinnie shook out the curls she made. My makeup had a more natural look to it, nothing excessive. Jinnie rushes out before Dom arrived. The doorbell rings as I am putting a few things inside my purse.

I go downstairs resisting the urge to skip with glee. I'm actually going on a date with Dominic Carter! I swing the door open to be surprised with Dom's attire that is not all black.

The khaki pants and white button up which sleeves are rolled up to his elbows. A glistening gold watch on his left wrist catches the fluorescent lights of my living room.

"You clean up nice Bambi." He smirks, his eyes raking down my body. I roll my eyes at his comment.

"You look... alright." I shrug, lying through my teeth. I walk past him closing the door behind me and head towards his car.

"Don't lie to yourself Bambi." Dom chuckles opening my door. I blush at the action.

It took about twenty-five minutes to get to the restaurant Dominic was taking me to. It was a cute Italian bistro that seemed family oriented. A lady who looks to be the owner of the place stood at the hostess booth. We were escorted to our table close to the back.

As we passed several other patrons I took in the decor. Black and white family photos line the walls. It makes you feel at home.

Once we were seated, the waiter handed us our menus then left to give us some time. This place looks so fancy I wonder what I should order.

Shrimp...chicken......ooo pasta!

Looking up at Dom, I am going to ask what he was going to get when I notice him fidgeting and looking around rather than his menu which is still closed on the table.

Is he nervous about the date?

Going to reassure him, his whole-body freezes after seeing something behind me. Brows furrowed; I turn around to see why Dom is being so weird when I notice another waiter frequently passing by a table where someone is sitting with their back facing us.

The waiter continues without making any verbal contact and picking up a single napkin, then dropping it when they come back. Taking a better look at the patron, I notice a tattoo on their neck peeking out from their shirt collar.

Wait a minute...

I face Dominic to see the guiltiest looking face ever.

"I am so sorry." He blurts out.

"What is going on?" I place my menu down, every excitement about the date flying out the window.

"This was supposed to be a date-"

"Was?" Arching an eyebrow.

"I got a call from Enzo after I left your house, he gave me a mission, but I told him I was taking you out that he should have Noah do it. But he thought it was a great idea, to go undetected. So, we are kind of on a mission," he says sheepishly.

"So, what I'm hearing is, you owe me big time." I lean back in my chair, arms crossed.

What? Jinnie did not take her time making me pretty for nothing.

"If this goes well, I'll do whatever you want Bambi," he looks relieved that I'm not upset.

"Okay, so what's the plan?"

"Alright, so Enzo sent us here because he got informed that a member of the Purple Rain is making a transaction here. They're are active in human trafficking and have been the sole cause of the many missing kids around this area."

"I'm guessing this Purple Rain guy is the one over there with the umbrella tattoo on their neck." Dom looks surprised by my observation.

"Wow Bambi you pick up on things quickly," I shrug not wanting to toot my own horn. "Alright, let's do this." Dom goes to stand up.

"Wait!" I have him sit back down. "You're just going to go over there and do what?"

"Uh-"

"Exactly. Didn't you say a transaction was going down?" He nods. "So, shouldn't we wait to see what it is and with who?" I raise my eyebrows in question.

"You'd think you've been doing this for years, not me." He mumbles.

"Wait here, I have an idea." I stand up and head towards the Purple Rain member's table. "Oh my god I am so sorry I am late." I raise my voice to make it high pitched.

Huh, so it's not a guy but a girl with a buzzcut. She looks at me weirdly.

"Excuse me?"

"Oh shoot. I am sorry I was supposed to meet a friend here. I just got my tables mixed up. Whoopies." I walk away taking note of the vent above her table after hearing a faint toilet flush.

I head into the lady's room looking for the stall where the vent sits above and go in, locking the door. I sent Dominic a text to let me know when he notices the transaction is about to happen.

While I am waiting, someone walks into the bathroom talking on the phone. They are speaking in a hushed tone, but I can make out two interesting words: Halloween and Devil's Candy. The person leaves and I get a text from Dom.

Arrogant Asshole: A woman just sat down at the table. I can't see her face. Transaction is about to go down.

Realizing that the woman that was just in here is the same one at the table I pay close attention to the conversation.

"You know about the agreement?"

"The Purple Rain are well aware of our agreement with Mephisto."

"Good. This is a personal invite to the Halloween party that will be happening soon, our youngest recruits will be running it. We intend to show off our newest substance: The Devil's Candy."

"As long as my boss gets his cut that we discussed then we should be fine." Buzzcut says.

"Don't worry, Vince will make sure your boss gets his money."
