“Soph… Soph.” I heard someone whispering as my eyes fluttered open.
“Hmmm?” I mumbled as I closed my eyes again and buried myself further into Nathan, who was still sleeping.
“Soph!” They called more urgently this time.
I rolled myself over in place and flung the bottom of the curtain up to reveal a frantic Tori.
“What?!” I whisper shouted before letting my head dangle over the edge as I waited for a response.
When everything went silent, I could hear Kevin talking downstairs. I looked at Tori and she just kept looking at me with a distraught look. It wasn’t long before I hoped down from the bunk and went down to see what the trouble was. Tori didn’t come down with me and I now know why.
As I looked around Kevin, I came face to face with a swarm of reporters. For the two seconds that I peeked around him the cameras went wild. I heard them all shouting questions at me. I forgot that there was a press day when we stopped in Seattle. We must be there already.
“Sorry, but you’ll have to wait until the press conference later today.” Kevin said before closing the door on them.
I sat down on the sofa as Kevin made some tea and Tori timidly made her way down the steps.
“Are they gone?” she asked quietly when she reached the foot of the stairs.
“Yeah.” I said laughing quietly. “What are you going to do when it’s time for the press conference?”
She shrugged her shoulders as she came and sat next to me while turning on the TV. I glanced at my watch to see the time was ten. The conference was scheduled for noon and as far as I know, none of the boys are awake.
I groaned as I climbed off the sofa and trudged back upstairs to get ready. After shuffling through my bag for a while, I found a pale pink fitted dress with a peplum skirt and picked out a thin black belt with a bow to put around the waist. Dragging myself into the bathroom, I got dressed and put on a bit of mascara before brushing my hair out and leaving it in large waves. I clipped one side back with a medium sized mesh bow before going to find my black suede heels. As I was about to slip them on, I heard the bullhorn go from upstairs followed by Tori making a mad dash down the steps.
‘Well everyone’s up now.’ I thought to myself as I sat down at the booth with a cup of tea.
Soon enough Jayne emerged from her room completely ready as did Tori from upstairs. I was finishing my tea when Jay came down followed by Siva, Max, and Tom. They were all ready and we weren’t surprised that Nathan was the last one. Thankfully we had sometime to work with so it wasn’t down to the wire.
“Soph, I need your help!” he called from the top of the stairs as I scrolled through my phone.
“Why can’t you come down here?” I said bluntly due to the fact that I wasn’t quite paying attention while I kept deleting old messages.
“Because…” he said sheepishly.
“Because…?” I questioned as I reluctantly got up and went to see what was wrong.
When I got to the top of the stairs, Nathan was stood with two different tops trying to decide between them.
“Which one?” he asked as he turned to me and revealed his toned chest.
“Is neither an option?” I enquired cheekily.
“Neither could be an option.” he replied as he set them down and wrapped his arms around my waist.
I smiled as I set my hands on his shoulders and he leant his head against my neck. It wasn’t long before I felt his lips against my skin and he was backing me towards the bathroom. He shut the door behind us before pulling me impossibly close and kissing my neck again. It didn’t take long for him to find my sweet spot, seeing as I couldn’t hold in my moans for very long...
“You’re lucky I have my hair down today.” I said as I tossed him one of the shirts that he was deciding between and sat on one of the bunks.
“Yeah, I am.” he said cheekily before putting it on and taking my hand to pull me up.
Nathan pulled me into his arms as I stood up and just looked at me for a few seconds. Of course, this was the time that he decides to tease me by trailing his lips all around my face. He knew full well that it made me melt in his arms because he wouldn’t let me kiss him. I had to wait for him to kiss me or else he would just tease me longer. I learned that the hard way.
By the time he finished, it was time for us to go to the conference. I picked up my clutch that had my things in it and walked out into a swarm of paparazzi hand in hand with Nathan who quickly moved an arm around my waist. We soon got to a building where we were ushered into a ballroom that had a low stage with two tables on it and seven chairs behind them. The rest of the room was filled with fold out chairs that had many reporters in them.
Nathan gave my hand a squeeze as he stepped onto the stage followed by me and took a seat. He leant over and whispered in my ear just as we were about to start.
“Remember, we’re going to dinner alone tonight.”
He leant back smirking and before I could say anything, the conference had started.
‘Guess this is it.’ I thought as we were introduced…
