I wandered through the woods instead of going to school, mainly because school was boring and I also hadn't been in a while, anyway, so I wandered through the woods and found myself at the old Hale house, finding a figure in a green shirt and jeans, who looked eerily familiar.
"Hello?" He turned around and my eyes widened massively. "Derek?" He stared at me as I stepped through the fence to join him.
"You know me?" I nodded and held my hand out to him, finding it weird that my older brother was younger than me at the moment.
"Smell me." Slightly confused, he took my hand and sniffed it anyway.
"(Y/n)?" I nodded. I never wore perfume and since I was a child I've always had a distinct scent about me, even if it was covered by deodorant or something scented. "How are you...older than me?" I shrugged/
"The question is, how are you younger than me?" I gently took his hand in mine and pulled him away from our burnt down house.
"What happened to the house?" I shrugged, not knowing if I should truthfully answer him.
"I think we should talk about this at home."
"Home?" I nodded again.
"I live with one of my friends. You know the ones I always used to run off to play with?" He nodded as I pulled him to the area where I left my car. "Well get in." I laughed, nodding to the passenger door. Derek had gifted me his sleek little black car when he had gotten the 4x4 Toyota, but I could never find the keys until recently. "I live with Stiles and his dad."
"That weird kid or the asthmatic one?"
"Weird, definitely weird." He nodded with a confused smile.

When I pulled up to the house, Stiles' jeep wasn't there but I just shrugged it off as him doing supernatural problems with Scott and Lydia. I sat Derek down on my bed and sat opposite him.
"So what happened? Why isn't our house there? Why do you live here?"
"Derek, seven years ago our home was set on fire by Kate Argent, it killed most of our family. You and Laura were at school when it happened and ran to New York and stayed there. Everyone else was stuck in the fire. Everyone died except Peter, who ended up in a six year coma before going on a killing spree to do with anyone related to arson or the fire." Derek slowly nodded and I took his hands in mine.
"What about Cora?"
"Cora escaped, like me, but she ran to South America while I stayed in Beacon Hills." He slowly nodded.
"Who became Alpha?" I hissed a little, remembering what happened.
"Laura did, but then Peter accidentally killed her, so he became Alpha, then you killed Peter and became Alpha, then to heal Cora you had to give up being Alpha and now this guy, Scott, the asthmatic one, is a true Alpha. And I'm no longer Omega!" He laughed and tightened his grip on my hands ever so slightly.
"So Lauara and Peter are dead? It's just you, me and Cora left?" I shook my head.
"Oh no, this banshee revived Peter using you, so now Peter's back, less homicidal, and everything is fine, at the moment. Oh, except Kate is now a were-jaguar and we have a hunter on our side helping us. His name's Chris, he's nice." I watched a smile cross Dereks lips before he grabbed the back of my head and ruffled my hair, playfully pushing me face first on my bed. "Hey! No fair! You gave no warning!" He laughed when i shoved him back, making him almost fall of the bed.
"And that's fair?! Hey! Come back!" I tried to crawl off the bed but Derek had grabbed my ankle and pulled me back to him, making me let out a small scream mixed with a laugh.

I followed Derek back to the old house where two cops ended up showing up and I was quick to dip, telling him I'd come get him in a bit.
I arrived at the Sheriff's station not long after Scott and Stiles apparently. I walked into Stilinski's office and found the two talking to my brother. Derek stood up when I walked in.
"(Y/n), who are these two? Why do they want me to go with them?"
"Ah yes." I sat on the couch beside my brother, pointing to the correct boys. "That, is the weird one, Stiles. And that one, is the former asthmatic one, the true Alpha, Scott."
"He knows you?"
"I'm his sister, of course he's going to recognise my scent." I swallowed, nodding at their unbelieved stares. "I also told him about the house, and a quick run-down about Kate." The two nodded and before we knew it Derek was being processed and he was quick to be allowed to leave with me.

"We're going to wait here for Scott. We're going to sit quietly. And we're not going to call or talk to anyone."
"Do I talk to you?" I smiled as Derek asked a stupid question, missing the old him.
'No."
"Good.""
"Fine." The three of us stopped walking when we reached the kitchen .
"Who's gonna talk to him?" I smiled, finding this situation very amusing.
"Ah! Are you getting taller?"
"Hi, I'm (Y/n), not sure if you remember me." I shook Scott's dad's hand and he nodded.
"I remember you, used to play with Scott as a kid." I nodded. "What are you guys doing here?"
"Waiting for Scott." Derek was quick to answer and I looped my arm with his.
"Yeah, so am I. We're supposed to have dinner. I brought extra, you guys hungry?" I nodded and so did Derek, Stiles sending us both looks. "Okay, well if you're not hungry, Stiles, your friends can still eat with us." I smiled brightly, nodding repeatedly. "What's your name?" He looked over to Derek.
"Der-"
"Miguel. My cousin, my cousin Miguel." I felt the little wolf in my head just slapped its head and roll onto its back at the same time. "From Mexico...so..."
Scott's dad said something in Spanish and Stiles stared at me in mild horror, not knowing where this could go, while I just smiled contently.
"Oh my god." I pointed to Derek smugly as he responded in perfect Spanish.
"Fantastic. Egg roll?"
"Hell, yeah." Stiles stared at me.
"He took Spanish in high school, very useful." I followed over to the food and joyously pointed at the little bits of food I would like to have tried, Stiles giving in and joining us.
