I had definitely become quieter after Aiden's death and had tried to distance myself from the supernatural, but when you're supernatural it's pretty hard to do. Christmas had rolled around and I sat in the lounge binge watching Christmas movies, now on 'The Grinch' as I sat curled up in a blanket, a onesie and fluffy socks. The front door opened but I chose to ignore it, shrinking back into the couch to avoid prying eyes. The decorations hadn't been put up yet since December had just rolled around, but I was planning on doing that for when Mr Stilinski got home tomorrow, so once he and Stiles were gone, I'd set everything up. I held a hot chocolate in my hands as, on the coffee table, sat wrappers of chocolate bars and an empty ice cream tub as well as a half-eaten, large bowl of popcorn and a few cans of soda.
"Where's (Y/n)?" I heard Malia's voice ask about my whereabouts and faintly heard Stile hum and nod somewhere. "Is she okay?"
"She lost someone not long ago, she still hasn't gotten over it." I heard Malia nod before the two were about to go upstairs, a third party voice joining the conversation.
"Are you sure she's okay? She wasn't at school the rest of the semester." Scott.
"She hasn't spoken much either. Dad keeps an eye on her because she refuses to be near me, so I can't do that apparently.." I could smell the confusion on Malia and Scott based on Stiles' words.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know why but whenever I walk into the same room, she walks out, I haven't been able to speak to her since Aiden." The three fell silent before making their way upstairs.
I guess Stiles has moved on from Lydia now, and onto Malia. I caught the familia scent of coyote and finally pieced it all together. He slept with her.
The thought ripped through my mind like a bullet through paper and I pouted more, cuddling into everything on the couch and focussing on The Grinch.

The next morning I heard Noah leave the house to go to work and not long after I heard Stiles knock on my bedroom door.
"Hey (N/n), I'm gonna be out for awhile, you gonna be okay on your own?" I didn't give him a reply, I just stayed silent as I stared at my door. "I'll be back by five, okay?"
As soon as I heard the Jeep leave the drive, I smiled and hurried to head to the attic, immediately finding the Christmas decorations and pulling them down along with the lights. I was still in my onesie but this time I was smiling brightly, having always loved Christmas.
By the time Stiles was home, the first to return, all the lights were up as well as other decorations and the tree, the tree being fully decorated with Christmas songs playing in the background of the house, another Christmas film on the television.
"(Y/n)?" I heard Stiles' voice call out while I sat in front of the oven, watching the flat chocolate cake bake in the oven. Many other things were already sat on the ding room table, cooled and decorated. Someone rounded the corner into the kitchen and I glanced behind me to see Stiles. He peeked into the dining room and saw the array of treats. "Did you do all of this?" He turned to look back at me and I nodded, still sat on the floor cross-legged in my onesie, looking at him just as the timer went off and I stood up, pulling the cake out of the oven and putting it in the fridge to cool down before taking a tray of cinnamon and ginger biscuits out of he cold and setting them onto the counter. I turned to Stiles, folding up the tea-towel and turning to him.
"I-I'm sorry for being distant." He nodded and came back into the kitchen. "I-I just- I don't want to deal with the supernatural any more." I stood with my arms crossed over each other as I leant against the counter. "Too many people die and I feel like the most useless werewolf in existence." I shook my head. "I refuse to use my claws, my eyes, my speed, anything, it's ridiculous really. A werewolf afraid to show who they are...a Hale at that.." when Stiles went to take steps toward me, I shook my head and turned to the biscuits and grabbed the icing bag, starting to ice them.
Christmas Day was tomorrow and little did anyone know, I had in fact bought presents, I had ordered them online and had them delivered right to the house and while Stiles was at school and his dad was at work, I had gone out and done a little shopping food wise as well as for a few final presents, wrapping paper and decorations.
So since it was Christmas Eve, I had a pile of presents ready by the front door waiting to be dropped off at the right people.
"Do you think I could borrow the Jeep for an hour or so?" Without an answer, the keys were tossed to me and I saw Stiles with a knowing smile. "Thank you." I carried the gifts out to the Jeep and then I began my little journey. First I stopped by Scott's house, holding two gift bags as I knocked on the door.
"Scott! Can you get that?!" I heard Melissa's voice call out from somewhere in the house, assuming she was busy. Not even three seconds later, Scott had pulled open the door and was more than surprised to see me stood at the door in a comfy onesie.
"(Y/n)?" I nodded with a smile. He glanced down at my hands and saw the bags.
"Can I come in really quick?" Scott nodded and stepped aside for me to walk in.
"You're wearing a-"
"Onesie, I know. I was too lazy to change." I popped my head into the kitchen and found Melissa, smiling at her brightly. "Merry Christmas!" She looked over when she heard my voice and chuckled, stopping what she was doing and smiling back to me.
"Merry Christmas to you too. What brings you by?" I held up the two bags.
"I bring gifts." I handed one to Scott, lightly slapping his hand when he went to curiously pull at the tissue paper sticking out of it. "For tomorrow." He nodded timidly and I laughed, handing the other to Melissa. "A thank you for keeping me alive all the time and being like a mother to me." She smiled and pulled me into a hug, soon remembering something.
"Oh! Scott, go get (Y/n)'s present from my room, and no looking for yours!"
Not long after, Scott returned and handed me a small, thin, rectangular box wrapped in beautiful golden wrapping paper.
"Thank you."
"We thought you could use with a bit of cheering up." Melissa kissed the top of my head and I smiled genuinely for the first time in months. "Now go continue your rounds and get home, okay?" I nodded and thanked Scott as well before heading back to the Jeep.
Next up I stopped by Lydia's house and handed the bag to her mother when she opened the door, saying it was a Christmas present for her daughter. Third stop, Kira's house. I smiled as her dad opened the door.
"Hi, I have a present for Kira, is she here?" He nodded with a smile before calling out his daughter's name. She soon appeared and I handed her the bag with a smile. "Merry Christmas, Kira." She returned the smile and just as I was about to turn to leave, she told me to wait before running off into her house, returning with a reasonably sized gift wrapped box and handing to me.
"Merry Christmas." I smiled and headed back over to the Jeep, choosing to stop by my uncle's apartment.
"Peter!" It didn't take long for him to answer the door, dishevelled, so probably having a little afternoon nap, "Sleep well?" He sent me a sarcastic smile and I handed him the bag, which he took more out of curiosity and confusion than actually wanting a Christmas gift.
"What's this about?"
"A Christmas present. Merry Christmas uncle Peter, for the first time in six or seven years." I saw a genuine smile cross his lips and he ruffled my hair.
"Come here." He pulled me into the apartment and wandered off, setting the bag on a table. He soon returned with a box in his hands and handed it to me. "It was Talia's, one of the very few things that survived the fire. Merry Christmas, kiddo." He kissed the top of my head before sending me off.
I arrived back at the Stilinski house, since Derek was missing at the moment....and took my gifts back into the house and dropped onto the couch, Stiles joining me.
"What are those?" He dropped ont the couch right beside me as I set the gifts on the coffee table.
"Presents."
"Who are they from?" I pointed to each one as I spoke.
"Kira, Scott and Melissa, and Peter." I handed the Jeep's keys back to Stiles and picked up Kira's present, peeling it open and finding a brown delivery box, then opening that and finding a cute wolf plushie, medium sized I'd say. "Cute." Next I picked up the McCall gift and opened it before lightly opening the box and finding a beautiful necklace.

"It's so pretty..." I gently lowered it back into the box before picking up the box Peter gave me.
"Why aren't you opening it?"
"Peter said it was my mom's...I just, don't want to open one of those doors again." I light opened it and found a beautiful phases of the moon ring and smiled, remembering whenever my mother wore it and I took notice, she said I could have it some day...and now I have it, the perfect thing to remember her by.

I quickly grabbed something from the side of the couch and handed it to the boy beside me

"Merry Christmas." He took the bag from my hands and pulled out the tissue paper, finding a frame and in that frame was a picture, of three children running around a garden covered in mud and in the background was the familiar sight of a young Derek and Peter smiling in the tree line, keeping an eye on these three troublesome kids with knowing looks while Scott's mom was sat at a garden table with, who appeared to be, Claudia and Noah Stilinski. At this point we were around seven, a few years before Stiles' mom died and before the fire.
"Who took this picture? I've never seen it..."
"Scott's dad did. I asked him if he had any of the three of us that no one had seen and he gave me this." I could see tears swelling in Stiles' eyes. "I wanted to remind you of a time before you knew about the supernatural, when everything was so simple." He pointed to the tree line.
"Who're they?" I sighed with a laugh,
"That, is Derek, and that is my uncle Peter. They had to keep an eye on me whenever I ran off." My smile faltered a little. "Usually to you guys." I rest my head on Stiles' shoulder and I heard him sniffle and rest his head on my own.
"Merry Christmas, (N/n)."
