The hatch to the attic was opened and I curled into myself a little more, smiling with a breathy laugh as I recognised the head that popped up.
"Hey.'
"Hi." I whispered enough for them to hear.
"You okay?" I nodded, wiping my eyes. "There's no one in the house, we checked. Do you want to come down?" I nodded and crawled over to Scott, taking his hand and sitting on the edge, letting him catch my waist when I jumped down. He gently set my feet on the floor and I wiped my eyes again, sitting myself on my bed and finding Stiles and Kira in the room too. "What happened? The door was open when we got here." I nodded.
"Someone was here, I told you. They came through the front door and searched the house." I took a breath and continued. "They forced themselves into Stiles' room but when they came up the stairs I went into the attic. She said I was worth fifteen million...but my name's not even on the dead pool." My scared eyes met Scott curious ones.
"Then how does she know how much you're worth?" I shrugged at Stiles' question.
"I-I don't know...you tell me...I wanted to stay out of all the supernatural shit." Kira sat herself on the bed beside me and pulled me into a soft hug.

I hurried through the town, finally making it to Derek's loft, incredibly out of breath. In there I found my brother, Lydia, Scott and Deputy Jordan Parrish.
"Parrish? Seriously? Parrish is the unknown supernatural?" The group nodded and I shrugged, heading over to him.
"Are you all psychic?" I laughed, hopping over and pulling his hand to mine so I can look at it.
"None of us are psychic. Lydia's a Banshee, she can sense when people are about to die. Derek, Scott and I, we're werewolves. And you...you are incredible..." I stared up at him in awe.
"What do you mean?" Apparently everyone was curious, even my dear brother.
"When I was younger, I found myself in a few tight situations and it usually involved the Argents, but not this time. One night I was being particularly difficult and the hunters who had caught me, their daughter had found me wandering through the house. We explored an office and found a leather bound book. Like the curious children we were at the time, we read it. It told about so many mythical creatures, which I thought were just that, mythical. But, they stayed in my head after all these years, and I never thought I'd see someone like you, Parrish..." I walked around him, looking him up and down.
"You read the beastiary? All of it?" I shook my head.
"I memorised it, back to front, all the way through. The daughter was very sweet, shame they all died a few weeks later."
"Died?" I nodded at Lydia's inquiry with a hum.
"A family of Wendigos happened to come across them, I took the book though. It's at home." The group stared at me.
"You have a beastiary?" I nodded again, slowly this time when Scott emphasised 'have'.
"Yes. Parrish, you said Haigh's set you on fire?" He nodded. "And you survived?" He nodded again and I smiled. "I think I know what you are, Jordan."
Scott then went into detail about the dead pool and the creatures we had already come face to face with in the past when I announced I had to get going.
I had been asleep for around an hour or so when the boy beside me had gotten up, causing me to stir awake. I sat up and saw him crouched on the floor picking up some paper that the printed had spewed out. He stood up, trying to switch it off before deciding to unplug it. I had slept here a few times since meeting this boy, more so as a comfort for him because of the new supernatural stuff in his life and because safety in numbers when you're both on a supernatural dead pool.
"Liam?" He turned to face me, the paper in his hands. Out of curiosity I crawled towards him and took the paper from his hands. "Is this...?" He nodded.
"The numbers have gone up...your name's on it now..." I stared at the paper, skimming over it.
"And now I'm worth twenty million..."
"I'll give you a lift to school." I stated, slipping my shirt over my head and pulling on my boots before lacing them up. Liam nodded and followed me out to the car and sliding into the passenger seat.
"Are you okay?" I asked as we walked through the school. He nodded again and I followed him.
"You're coming, and we're gonna find you a nice girl that you can embarrass yourself in front of and find me a lacrosse player." I smiled as I came up behind Liam, seeing him with his best friend, Mason.
"I have a nice girl, thanks though." Liam had replied unusually quick and I shared a look with Mason.
"What's he on about?" I asked, pointing to Liam, Mason shrugged.
"Apparently he has a girlfriend?"
"Oh?" It came out more teasingly than I had expected and I heard Liam swallow before taking my hand in his and tugging me away.
"I'll see you at the bonfire then?" Mason called out and I waved to him, a smirk crossing his lips when he saw our hands. "A junior...nice."
I stood in the boys locker room, strangely enough, and stood next to Scott since coach wanted to talk to the team, including me but not Kira, strange...
"All right! Now I know the start of the season bonfire-" coach stopped mid-sentence and stared at me. "Why are you in the boy's locker room?"
"You said you wanted to talk to me, and this was the easiest way to find you." He nodded, accepting my answer before continuing to speak.
"I know the start of the season bonfire, it's a big deal for you guys. I also know it gets out-of-hand sometimes. The alumni show up, there's other teams, there's alcohol. Lots and lots of alcohol." All the boys cheered while I laughed, Scott smiling as I nudged his arm. "All right. Shut up! Now, what i don't understand is why anybody would ever want to get stumbling down drunk in front of a massive open fire. I'm also resigned to not being able to stop you guys." Coach paused and there was more cheering, making me laugh more. "I also remind you, your team captain's, McCall and Hale, will be there." Scott snapped out of his daze and gave a forced and awkward smile. "And I can count on them to narc on ant and every one of these little bastards. get back to class."
"Have you seen Liam?" I glanced around the room at Scott's words and shook my head.
"Why?"
"I found him!" I dropped onto the stairs beside Liam with a smile, Scott soon joining us. "What's wrong?"
"Last night, my printer went off by itself. I couldn't turn it off. I hit the cancel button. But it just kept printing."
"Printing what?"
Liam pulled the sheet from out of his pocket and handed it to Scott. When Scott had opened it, we heard coach down the hall.
"What the hell is this?!" W all shared a look before heading over to his office and seeing sheets upon sheets of paper, printed, spewing out onto the floor.
"See the difference?"
"Derek's not on the list anymore, (Y/n) is." I nodded, although pointing to the numbers as Liam spoke.
"And I'm not worth three million. It's eighteen now. And (Y/n), she's up to thirty five."
"But last night it was twenty." I swallowed when the two shared a look, shrugging, none of us having any idea why it had changed.
