When Stiles had returned to the hospital, I had been there to greet him, especially when he walked into his father's hospital room, where I was already, sat at the Sheriff's bedside, although I was already asleep with my head against my guardian's bed. It wasn't until the early next morning when Stiles gently shook me awake that I even realised I had fallen asleep in the first place. I lazily raised my head and my eyes met Stiles' with a tired smile. The smile he was sending me faltered and his eyes scanned my face, mainly my lips. He looked over to his dad.

"I'll take her home, get some proper sleep." His dad nodded and Stiles gently pulled me up, keeping me steady in my tired state. He lightly pulled the hood of my jacket up and I sent him a confused look as he pulled out his phone to text someone.

"Mis, what's going on?" He handed me his phone and I saw my reflection in the black screen. I looked normal, just a little tired...with a trail of silver falling from between my lips and following the curve of my chin and neck. "What's happening to me..?" My voice quivered and Stiles did his best to muster an unforced, hopeful smile and a light shrug.

I was sat in the sitting room with Stiles, Scott and Malia in the kitchen discussing something while Hallow was beside me, flipping through the spell book with me.

"What does this mean?" I asked, pointing to a few Latin words. Hallow shook his head with a smile as I rest my head on his shoulder.

"It's a incantation, simple, it's like a send off, spiritually." I nodded again and continued to turn the pages. Hallow felt my body jerk a little and was quick to grab the bucket that had been set by the side of the couch, ready. The black haired boy held it in front of me as I pulled my hair back and coughed something up into the bucket. After I had, I looked up with tears in my eyes, pulling my sleeves to cover my hands. Mercury, and some form of black liquid again. Hallow's expression saddened and he shared a look with the group in the kitchen. "What do we do?" Everyone shared looks while I was trying not to cry. I knew my 'condition' was worsening and I knew that because of it I'd probably, most likely, die or become close to death.

"Am I gonna die?" Stiles left Malia and Scott and came to crouch in front of me, taking my hands gently in his. I watched him swallow his anxiety and nerves. "Am I?" He shook his head.

"I'm not going to let you, none of us are, okay? We're gonna keep you safe." I nodded, Stiles sharing a worried look with Hallow as I finally started to cry. "(N/n)..."

"Hayden died, Cory, Tracy, Josh, Donovan, Noah...They all did, why am I different? I'm throwing up mercury, Stiles..." He moved his hand so one settled on my cheek.

"You're staying alive, okay? We'll make sure of it." I nodded, wiping my tears and straining an answer.

"You promise? You won't let me die?" I watched as his lips set into a straight line, determination buried in his eyes as they met mine, his hands gripping mine that little bit more.

"I promise." I nodded with a smile as he stood up and set a quick and gentle kiss to the top of my head.

A couple hours later, when it was just me and Hallow in my room, and I heard him sat at my desk while I was curled up on my bed asleep, although mild whispering caught my attention.

"Ad astra per aspera, ars longa, vita brevis..." (To the stars through difficulties, art is long, life is short.)

For some reason it clicked in my brain, but I didn't know any Latin and I kept listening. "Dum spiro spero..." (While I breathe, I hope.)

I cracked open my eyes and looked around, noticing shadows enveloping the room. Hallow was reciting an incantation from my desk. There was a certain shadow right in front of my face, staring at me curiously.

"Sub rosa." (under the rose)

It's voice was contorted and distorted, as if it were trying to hide its identity. "Mens regnum bona possidet." I never let my eyes leave this being, allowing its shadowy hand to caress the skin of my face. "Experientia docet, amare et sapare vix diablo." (An honest heart is a kingdom in itself. Experience teaches, to love and to be wise scared the devil.)

"Denegat die illa. Placere adiuva nos." (She refuses to die. Please help us.)

"Il libras libertas." (In books, freedom)

I slowly sat up, the shadow still watching me. It spoke as I did.

"Dominus." (master).

Hallow turned around and sent me a nervous smile, scared as to what my reaction could be to the being beside me. I smiled to it and it bowed its 'head' before drifting over to Hallow's side.

"It's in the book. The way to create a perfect chimera, right?" Both nodded. "So, maybe it has a way to heal failing chimeras?" The ghostly figure scooped up the book, its figure solidifying as it did so. I watched in awe as it turned into a ghostly pale woman with straight, long, pitch black hair down to her waist. She wore a black, floor length, dress with flared sleeves, fitting her figure perfectly. She handed me the book with such elegance.

"(Y/n), this is my advisor, also the last witch I served, as well as my mother."

"It's nice to meet you."

"And you, Lady (Y/n)."

We spent the rest of the 24 hours searching through the books for this one page. We noticed it was missing, finally coming across where it should be. I sat there confused.

"Keeper of what disappears, Hear me now- open your ears. Find for me what I now seek, By Moon, Sun, Earth, Air, Fire and Sea." After having said it and waiting a few seconds, I opened my eyes to see a piece of paper materialising in front of me, a little creature sat on my bed underneath it, staring at the space where it was appearing.

"Not only have you summoned the thing you were looking for, but you managed to summon the keeper itself." Hallow's mother was astounded. I smiled at the little fuzzy creature once it was done. It nodded to me before disappearing into a puff of black smoke. I lightly took the paper and scanned over it before handing it to Hallow.

"Ancient Moons, lend your power, Bring me peace this very hour. I call upon your strength and might. Bless your child this secret night." There was a minor chill before the room filled with a light fog and the moon began to gently brighten and pierce through my window.
