I stood in Scott's house, watching the saddening exchange between him and Liam, apparently Kira had found Brett and Lori, but hunters or assassins were after them.
"I'm not like you." The sadness in his voice was really something that pulled at your heart, it really did.
"Not yet."
"I don't mean I'm not strong, or never going to learn how to be in control. I mean everything else." He shrugged. "You and your friends try to protect everyone." I raised my hand, kind of guilty.
"I'm a beta and I don't really do much, so, don't count on all of us trying to protect people." I scooped up my keys and smiled at the boy.
"Have you been doing this the whole time? I mean, how are you still alive?"
"Not all of us are." Scott replied and I sent him a sad smile, taking Liam's hand.
"Go find Kira, I'll take Liam home, okay?" Scott nodded and left the house while Liam and I went out to my car, slipping into it.
"What did Scott mean?" I started the car in silence and pulled out of the driveway, following the route to Liam's house. "(Y/n)?"
"A couple of our friends died because of the supernatural and we've almost lost more. Two moved away to England...There's more losses than you can think about." I looked over to him with a sad smile. "Okay?" He nodded.
"Were you close to any of them?" I shrugged, my one hand sitting on the wheel as I rest my chin on my hand against the door.
"Aiden. He died right in front of me and his brother. Jackson moved away, so did Ethan. Scott lost Allison, she died the same sort of time as Aiden." I chuckled sadly, remembering the group. "I lost my entire family years ago. I almost lost my brother and my uncle...and then I've been hospitalised countless times, so close to dying."
"I thought werewolves healed fast?" I shrugged, taking a turn as I sadly spoke again.
"An Omega heals a lot slower, that's why I've almost died so many times. I was an Omega for most of my life, I'm a Beta now, but I'm still not used to it...I even dropped back to Omega once..."
When I pulled up to Liam's house, I sent him a smile before leaning across and popping open his door.
"Can you stay?" I stared at him.
"Are you sure?" He nodded and so did I, parking the car and climbing out with him.

I sat on Liam's bed, watching him pace in front of me.
"Are you sure you're okay?" He shook his head and sat on the bed beside me.
"I-I don't get it, why can't I control it? I can't control myself or my anger, I'm not strong like Scott or Malia-" LIam shut up once I had swiftly leaned over to him and connected my lips to his. I pulled away slowly and ever so slightly, enough for Liam to think for a second, just before his lips joined mine once more, causing me to smile a little and gently turn enough so I was in front of him and then lightly pushing him down onto the bed so I was above him as we made out.

I lay on Liam's bed, watching him and Mason play video games while I flicked through one of their textbooks, writing down answers to their homework for biology.
"Come on, one more game."
"Yeah, you said that four games ago." Mason stood up and headed over to the door.
"Well...study here. You can stay over.come on, one more game. Just one." Mason looked over to me and I checked the time, nodding in agreement with Mason.
"You okay?" Liam shifted his attention back to the controllers, shaking his head.
"Yeah. You're right. You should go. I should probably study too." Mason bit his lip with a sigh as Liam shook his head again. "See you at school." As Mason walked away, I sat up and crawled over to the end of the bed.
"Li? You okay?" He shook his head as I wrapped my arms around his shoulders from behind him. "What's wrong?"
"I just...I don't like being alone recently..." I smiled, pecking his cheek.
"That's why you've got me. Come on." He stood up as I released him, letting him turn off everything before crawling into the bed with me.
He had his head buried into the cross of my neck as I raked my fingers through his hair, resting my head on his. His arms were wrapped around my waist and I had a soft smile on my lips. He was like a little puppy, so vulnerable...
"You trust me right?" I felt him nod. "Then go to sleep." He nodded very shortly after I had spoken and before he knew it, his grip around my waist had loosened and I could tell he was fast asleep.

When Mason was at Liam's again, so was I and two xbox games were tossed onto the bed as I sat behind Liam, my arms draped over his shoulders as I leaned on his back.
"I know something's going on." Liam looked away, pretending like he didn't know. "You got girlfriend."
"I got a clingy seventeen year old."
"And I got a whiny fifteen year old, so shut up." I pecked his cheek, making him smile the tiniest bit.
"Until you're ready to talk to me, I know I can kick your ass at at least one of these games."
I leaned into Liam and whispered to him as Mason spoke.
"And tomorrow, you'll kick ass against Devenford Prep." Liam's hand rubbed over my knee.
"So will you." I pecked his lips and pulled his jacket off him as I rolled back onto the bed, slipping it onto my own body before going on my phone.

Jus as everyone was on the field getting ready to play, Liam pointed out Scott and Kira still weren't here, Stiles sat beside him while I sat on his other side.
"They're still not here."
"Okay, what's really going on?" Stiles asked as I slipped my jersey on over my pads, pulling it down fully and adjusting the pads a little as the two spoke. "Are you nervous about the full moon? It's not for another twenty four hours." Liam glanced up at the moon. "Liam, you're gonna be fine. Okay? Just try not to rage out on anyone."
"You're not worried?"
"Okay, I'm mildly concerned. Mildly." Stiles glanced passed Liam and at me, to see how I was feeling about it.
"They either ran into trouble, or got busy, that's my take on it." I shrugged, pulling on the elbow pads.
"We're gonna sloe without him."
"No we're not, we still have (Y/n)." I sent Stiles a sarcastic smile, slapping him lightly upside the head. He chuckled. "And hey, I've been practicing. And let me tell you something. I'm getting good, really good."
"Stiles the only time you were good at Lacrosse was when you taught me how to throw a ball at Scott." Liam stared at us in curiosity and I just smiled, Stiles playfully glaring at me. I pulled on one glove and stood up, picking up the other, my helmet and my stick before grabbing Liam's jaw with my un-gloved hand and making him look at me. His eyes met mine. "We'll win, just relax, okay?" He nodded and I quickly pressed a kiss to his lips before heading out to the field.
"You guys are dating?!"
"Hale! Take centre first! I nodded to coach, holding up one hand to let him know I had heard him as I headed to centre.
As the game went on, Stiles kept tripping up, getting hit by the ball and missing the ball. I sighed, watching him fall yet again, or rather trip over his own feet.
And when a break came on, Stiles tried to call Scott again but to no answer, Stiles jogging off to actually go find Scott and Kira.
I was centre once again, and this time I was face-to-face with Brett.
"How's everyone doing? I heard about the other night." Brett nodded with an exhale of breath.
"We're doing good, alive at least." I nodded.
"That's good. Have you seen Scott?" Brett shook his head just as the whistle was blown and the match continued, luckily I got the ball and threw it straight to someone else.
In the middle of the field I saw Liam freeze up, mild concern going through my body.
"What the hell did you do that for?"
"Because you're afraid, I can smell it on you from across the field. Are you hurt?"
"No."
"Are you still alive?"
"Obviously."
"Then get up." I headed over to Liam and Brett, gently patting the older boys chest.
"Relax, you could get benched, Brett. Alright, let's just continue playing."
