chapter twelve

      Janus obviously felt weird being in the same place as his ex and new boyfriend. God forbid Remus gets accepted and moves in.

      But the other sides realized some things when Janus moved in.

1.
     "Hey Janus?" Logan asked. "Uh huh?" Janus was only half paying attention. "First, is that why you wear a hat?" Logan asked. Janus looked at him. He was washing the dishes with all of his arms and he leaned his main arm elbow against the sink. "This little shit of a tuft of hair? Yeah. But also Patton gave me the hat before we were split apart." Janus answered. "Second, why is there a snake on your head?" Logan continued. There was a small, white snake on Janus' head. "Oh that's Alfredo. He's just chillin'. Wanna meet my bigger one?" Janus smirked as he eyed his bedroom door. Logan laughed and shook his head. "Uhhh, no. I'll be out of your hair then." He said as he quickly walked away. Janus laughed to himself. "Maybe he does know some idioms......I don't have another snake."

2.
      Janus had his head on the table, frowning. Virgil and Roman were laughing at him. "What's all this commotion?" Patton walked in. "Janus has a lisp that he doesn't show when he's around us!" Roman answered. Janus groaned and covered his face with his hat. "Awww! That's so cute!" Patton hugged Janus. Janus took the hat away and smiled a little. He kissed Patton on the head.

3.
      Janus didn't like eating around the others. He had really long front fangs so he couldn't chew. So he ate everything whole. He had only eaten small things in front of the others so they wouldn't particularly notice. But it was a big meal that day.

     Janus looked at his plate and smiled at the others when they looked at him. "What's wrong JJ? Not hungry?"  Patton asked. Roman choked and laughed a little at the nickname. "No it'ssss not that." Janus answered. He looked over to Virgil for help. Virgil was the only one who knew. But the anxious side just smiled and motioned for Janus to tell them. "I eat everything whole. I don't wanna scare you guys." Janus admitted. "Oh it's fine! Come on. It won't be that bad!" Patton reassured. Janus gave an unsure look but shrugged. He picked up his food and his jaw unhinged and the whole thing went down. Janus finished and smiled awkwardly. Patton passed out and fell, Virgil just kept eating like normal, Roman lost his appetite, and Logan looked shocked. "That's fascinating. How does it all go down? You have a human throat and digestive system so-" he started. Janus face palmed and looked over to Virgil. But he just smiled again. Bitch.

4.
      "Hm. It seems to be getting cold again." Patton said as he looked out the window. Janus looked at him with urgency. "Wait really!? I'll be in my room! If you need something, come to me." Janus scurried to his room.

     Patton walked in because Janus hadn't been out of his room for a while. "Babe? You okay in here?" He asked. He immediately started to sweat. The heat lamps were full power and he could see Janus wrapped in seven weighted and heated blankets. "Really? Don't you think you're being extra?" Patton said, putting his hand on his hip. "No. This is serious times. Remember? Cold blooded?" Janus said. Patton sighed and laughed. "Well okay then. I'm forcing you to go outside eventually." Patton said as he walked out. Janus just hissed in response.

5.
     The other sides were getting annoyed. They were in their rooms but heard constant hissing. They all hopped down the stairs to the living room. Janus and Virgil were facing each other. Janus hissed and Virgil hissed back. "Can you guys-like-chill? For two seconds?" Roman asked. They both turned and jumped back. "How did this even happen?" Logan asked. "He called me a ssslut!" Janus said. "You are! You've dated three sides and probably fucked all of them!" Virgil retorted. "I'm dating Patton! You think that's coming any time soon!?" Janus yelled. They glared at each other, boiling with anger. Patton giggled and scratched the back of his head. Logan hit his head against the wall, repeatedly. Roman just walked off. "Well maybe I wouldn't have been with so many people if you hadn't left!" Janus argued. They all stopped. Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! Virgil took a step back. "No, shit. I'm sorry, I didn't mean that. You had every right to leave. Please just forget it. I still love you. As a friend of course. Please forgive me." Janus said quickly. Virgil nodded. "Wait, really?" Janus brightened. "Yeah, you aren't wrong. If I didn't leave, you might have still been with me. But you love Patton and I love Roman."

6.

      "Salutations, Janus." Logan greeted. Janus was just hanging with Alfredo. "Uh, yeah?" Janus replied. "Are you venomous?" Logan asked. Janus sat up from where he was sitting. "Uh-I dunno. I make Alfredo do all my dirty work." Janus answered. Logan nodded. He walked a little ways away and dragged Roman. "Now's your chance."

      "I'm not biting him." Janus said. "Why not? He consented." Logan answered. "Because that's fucking weird." Janus put Alfredo down in his hat. "Just do it. I need to know. For science." Logan pleaded. Janus looked at Roman for helo but he just shrugged. "Ugh. Fine." Janus went over to Roman's exposed arm. "I'm sorry." Janus said before quickly biting Roman and backing away. "We'll wait a minute or two and see what happens." Logan said.

   

     Fun fact!: Janus is venomous
