(Here we go boys)
Janus was watching the episode going on. It was a trainwreck. Logan was trying to help and they were ignoring him. And Virgil wasn't there to help for some reason. He always made sure Logan was listened to. Then he saw Patton hit a skip button. Janus took his chance. He grabbed his cane and swept Logan across to neck to drag him off. "I'm sorry Logan." He said as he was able to knock Logan unconscious.
He impersonated Logan easily. Since he was in a video game form there was less to mess up. Janus watched from the sidelines, nit knowing when to come in. Then he wanted question Patton. He could tell Patton was getting overwhelmed but he pressed anyway wanting to push an answer out. "I would like to know Patton, what do you have to say?" Roman agreed. "I! Don't! Knoowww!" Patton yelled as everything went video game form and Patton turned into a frog creature. Holy shit! What!? When could he do this?! This is not what I intended! Janus thought frantically.
He watched in panic. But also curiosity. They were bringing up the trolley problem again. But then he saw Patton grab a fake Lee and Mary Lee. They were put on some tracks. Train tracks. Janus wanted to give up on the whole Logan thing and help Patton. He was so stressed. Janus felt so bad. So that's what he did. "Enough! This isn't working. This entire conversation has become so muddled due to a constant misleading misuse of consientious language. You'll need a sharp side to cut through all of this bull...frog. A sort of subterfuge specialist. The lord of the lies." Janus said as he whipped his cape around and revealed himself. "I'm happy to oblige."
Janus was watching as Roman was desperately trying to say he was a bad guy. Janus felt bad again. In the courtroom, Roman was trying to see the best in Janus but the others were telling him he was bad. Now, he was saying that Janus was bad and the others are seeing the best in him. It wasn't fair. Janus tried to help. He realized that was a bad idea soon enough. "I don't have a simple answer to that question. But here's a start-" Janus slowly took off his glove. His was shaking like crazy. "My name-" His voice also shook. And the others heard it. (Literally his voice shook in the episode). "My name is Janus."
"Pfft! Janus!? Like a middle school librarian!? That's a stupid name." Roman said. Janus was taken aback. He hot defensive. But in the wrong way. "Roman thank god you don't have a mustache! Because then between you and Remus, I wouldn't know who the evil twin is!" Janus regretted what he said immediately.
How I see the situation
Janus was in a vulnerable state and Roman made fun of him. Dick move. Janus had a right to be mad but not in that way. He took things to a new level. He purposely took Roman's biggest insecurity and pointed it out. Also a huge dick move. But Patton and Thomas are fully willing to take Janus' side. Sorry for the tangent.
Janus knew he hit a rough spot. He meant to do that. But not really. Roman's face dropped. "Heh. Wow." Janus could see Roman look away, trying not to cry.
"I thought I was your hero." Roman said. "You-you are!" Thomas defended. Roman looked to Janus. Janus nodded. As in, yes, he's telling the truth. But Roman took it the wrong way. (This is just the less common theory on the nod.)
Janus knew that Patton would sure hate him now. But Patton was taking his side. No no no no. This wasn't good. No one should be taking sides.
Roman sunk down and Janus wanted to as well.
Janus burst in the mindscape. He was accepted. But at what cost? Then he realized. He had to break the news to Remus.
"Hey babe! How was it?" Remus asked. "I-I got accepted." Janus looked down at his feet. The air was so thick you could cut it with a knife. It felt like time stopped. "Wait, what?" Remus couldn't believe it. "We need to break up. I've been accepted." Janus looked up at Remus. "You fucking hypocrite." Remus muttered. "Wait what?" Janus asked. "I said, you fucking hypocrite! This is the Virgil situation all over again!" Remus yelled. "But now I see where he's coming from." Janus tried to keep his voice level. "I still don't! You went on and on about loyalty and look at you now! First Roman, then Virgil, and now you!? When will it stop for me!" Remus was crying. Janus reached to touch him but decided against it. "Get. Out. Now." Remus said. Janus looked shocked. "You threaten to hurt Virgil I'll threaten to hurt you! Get out!" Remus yelled. Janus backed away and ran. As fast as possible. Great. What was he gonna do?
