Janus feelings slowly faded. He actually started to hate Patton. But it was only because he was jealous. But he liked Virgil. Thomas' anxiety.

Janus and Virgil were talking. Janus blushed whenever Virgil looked at him. He decided to just do it. He leaned down and kissed Virgil. But Virgil didn't pull away. He put his hands on Janus' face to hold it there. Janus wrapped his arms around Virgil's waist and pulled him closer. They pulled away to breathe. Virgil laughed a little. Janus smiled. "So you like me too?" Janus asked. Virgil blushed. "M-maybe."

So that was that. They started dating. And let me tell you, it sure made Remus uncomfortable. They would kiss while Remus was mid-sentence.

One day, Janus couldn't find Virgil. "Hey, Re? Where's Virgil?" Janus asked. "He's doing an episode with the light sides. It's his first appearance to Thomas too." Remus answered. The light sides. Janus forgot about them. When was the last time he saw the light sides? "Take care of Thomas for me." "You could never protect him." Oh yeah. Then Janus remembered. Patton. Patton still existed. He still had the cardigan. Janus frowned. Why should he care? Patton was just another blubbering fool. Janus sighed. He was with Virgil. But it felt like Virgil was just a void filler. From the one Janus actually wanted.

      Patton's pov

After the episode, Virgil was about to leave. But Patton stopped him. "Hey, do you live with Deceit?" Patton asked. Virgil was surprised. "Uh yeah?" Virgil said. "Can you tell him hi from me?" Patton asked. Virgil gave a small salute with two fingers and nodded. Patton smiled. "Thanks." He replied. "Why exactly?" Virgil asked. "Oh nothing. It's just I haven't seen him in a while." Patton said sadly. Virgil looked at him. He was about to say something but decided not to.

Janus' pov

Janus waited for Virgil patiently. When Virgil finally popped up Janus ran and hugged him. "How'd it go? Were you mean?" Janus flooded Virgil with questions. "I think it went well. Princey's a real dick." But Virgil didn't look as mad as he should of. But Janus didn't notice. "Yeah he is. So, what about the others?" He pressed. "I think Logan could care less about me. And Patton told me to say to you for him." Virgil said. Janus stopped. He remembers me. He wanted to say hi. Janus gave a small smile. But thought, no! Stop! You're with Virgil. And you love him! Patton was just a silly crush. It would have never worked.

"Why did he say that exactly?" Virgil asked. "I don't know. I never liked him." Janus huffed. Virgil shrugged. Janus kissed him on the head. "I'll go over there. Haven't seen them in forever." Janus whispered as he sank out.

"Hey losers. I'm here to steal your alcohol. I know you have a stash Logan." Janus appeared. "Oh, hey Deceit." Patton said shyly. "Ugh whatever." Janus hissed at Patton.

Patton's pov

Patton lowered his head. He must not remember. We were friends. Patton felt sad. He looked at his cardigan. But when he looked at Janus he saw the bowler hat that he gave Janus. Patton smiled. He sniffed and they all turned. "Oh! I'm okay. Might be catching a cold." Patton laughed. "What are you doing here? Get. Out." Roman growled. "Don't be mean Roman!" Patton scolded. "Why can't I? He's evil!" Roman defended. "Ah yes, Roman. I'm totally affected by your playground insults." Janus got close to Roman. Roman scowled. Janus smiled and stuck his tongue out.

"Alright alright. I'll leave. But I'll appear to Thomas soon." Janus said as he sunk out.

He appeared again and sighed. He took off his hat and looked at it. Patton probably thinks he forgot. He could never. He smiled and held the hat close to his chest. But Virgil appeared and Janus jumped. "Agh! Virg! Don't do that!" Janus said as he turned on his boyfriend. Virgil smirked and kissed him. Janus melted. Virgil put Janus' hat on the rack beside them. "Ugh. You know I can't stay mad at you." Janus smiled.

Patton's pov

Patton sat around not doing much. Roman burst in. "Ugh! The duke is so annoying! I'm gonna kill him and all the dark sides." Roman complained. Patton winced at dark sides. Patton shook himself. No. They are evil. E-even Deceit.

Janus' pov

Janus ran his fingers through his hair. Every day he remembers Patton, being a dark side gets harder and harder. He wished Thomas' thoughts weren't so black and white. He remembered baking with Patton. His smile. The shoulder angel and devil. Janus groaned. He looked out his window to the mind palace. It hurt to see his past home. And every other idiot filling it. Janus tries to be content living with Remus and Virgil. He had a boyfriend that he loved! Why was he still feeling empty? Was it just Patton? Or was it more?

"J! Come here!" Virgil called. Janus sighed. He just wanted to sulk. He put on a more animated face and exited his room. Patton was standing there. "Uh, what?" Janus asked. "A little birdy told me that you and Patton were the only sides once. And you both lived in the mind palace?" Virgil said. Janus looked surprised. He looked at Patton. Then at Virgil. Then back at Patton. Then back at Virgil. "Oh uh, I can barely remember that time." Janus said.

"You guys didn't date did you?" Remus teased. Patton laughed. "Of course not." Janus said. Virgil crossed his arms. "We were never dating. Were we even friends?" Janus said. Patton's smile faded a little. Janus noticed. He put his hand on Patton's back slyly. "We were never best friends." Janus crossed his fingers and only Patton noticed. Patton smiled a little. "Hm. Patton. Why have you come exactly?" Remus asked. "I wanted to originally talk to Virgil. You need to be in the next episode." Patton said. Virgil looked surprised. "Why?" He asked. "I really want Roman and Logan to get used to you. Maybe we could be friends?" Patton asked. Janus sighed. Friends with Patton. I miss that.
