chapter eighteen (last part)

        "Guys be ready!" Patton called happily. All the others but Roman groaned. Janus, Logan, and Virgil weren't morning people. Logan and Janus still woke up early though. "What is it now?" Virgil asked. "Say hello to a certain someone because he's here to stay!" Patton jumped up and down. They all tried to process it.

      "Why thank you for the introduction pops!" Remus came out from behind Patton. Janus and Roman froze. But they quickly jumped up. "No no no no no no!" They both said simultaneously. "Ah yes boys! I've been accepted!" Remus made jazz hands. Roman fell to the ground and Janus slumped a little. Virgil didn't look as upset and Logan looked slightly delighted. "Babe, can I speak with you?" Janus asked. Patton loomed over to his boyfriend but Janus was already dragging him away, leaving the others to deal with the rat man.

      "I love you, I really do. Part of why I love you is because of your willingness to be open-minded. But did Remus have to be accepted?" Janus asked. "I thought you would be happy? You seemed to be getting along after the twins apologized?" Patton asked back. Janus laughed. "Yeah, but now I'm not sure. "Being accepted isn't really what's bothering me." Janus said. Patton tilted his head. It was so cute when he was confused. "Then what is it?" Patton pressed. "H
We already know he reacts badly to the break up and us being together. I don't know if he can handle it when our relationship is most visible, the mind palace." Janus admitted. They were silent for a minute or two. Then Patton burst out laughing. "You tickle me sometimes! Of course he'll be uncomfortable. That's why I asked Logan a favor before Remus came." Patton patted, (alliteration), Janus on the shoulder. Janus swiped the seemingly condescending hand off of him. "And what was the favor?" Janus asked. "Eh, I just asked him to kiss Remus or anything really when we did something romantic in front of him." Patton explained. "Oh."

      And it seemed to work! Soon enough, Remus just seemed less jealous. But, that didn't mean Janus was happy. He was now currently sharing a place with his current boyfriend and both of his exes.

      "JJ? Are you alright?" Patton asked. Janus had refused any intimate contact in front of the others for a while. "Yeah, Patton. I'm fine." Janus lied. Patton could tell. He didn't have magical lie detector powers like Janus, but Janus was his boyfriend. "Please tell me the truth." Patton placed his hand on top of Janus'. "Well, I dunno. I guess it's just weird having both ex boyfriends and my current one living together." Janus admitted. But Remus and Virgil heard that.

      "You're telling me that you're the uncomfortable one?" Remus teased. Janus turned red with embarrassment as he covered his face with his hat. "Aww, baby! Don't be like that!" Patton said. Virgil laughed. "It's your fault for dating and fucking three sides. We didn't do shit honestly. So when are you gonna get to Logan and Roman?" Virgil taunted. Janus hissed at Virgil. "Hey, I do that!" Virgil said. "Ugh! You gotta sympathize with me here!" Janis complained. Patton turned Janus' face towards him. "Look, Jan. I know it must feel weird. But we're all in good, healthy relationships now. No need to dwell on the past." Janus nodded. Patton kissed Janus.

      "Wait Virgil did you assume Patton and I-?!"
