POV: Ally

I waited outside of the doors patiently waiting for Catie with her mom and Carson.

"Mom?" Catie walked through the doors.

Her mom simply smiles and opened her arms up for her daughter.

Catie didn't miss a best and ran to her immediately.

"I'm so glad you're healthy." Her mom sighed into her daughter's shoulder.

"What's up Carson?" Catie's face lit up when she saw Carson.

"Nothin'!" Carson put his arms up for Catie to pick him up. Yes, he's seven now, but she throws him up in the air and he thinks it's the best thing ever.

She didn't miss a beat and picked him up, threw him a foot up, and then caught him and gently set him on his feet before walking over to me and pulling me into a tight hug. "God I missed you."

I hugged her back just as tightly. "I missed you too, Catie."

"Lunch on me?" Catie's mom drew our attention back to her.

"I'll pay for my own food, but lunch sounds amazing right now." My stomach growled just from mentioning food.

"You're not paying for your food. Don't be stupid." Catie's mom rolled her eyes. Yup, that's where she got it from.

"Thank you for being here." Catie smiled down at me as we walked side by side. Carson was practically attached to her hip

"Of course." I hesitantly took her hand in mine. It still felt the same.

She walked with me to my bike and her mom told me to follow her in her car.

My Catie is back. The real, healthy Catie. But I won't let my guard down. Not again. At least not yet. Just because she's healthy doesn't mean she's smart.

"So what are you doing tomorrow?" Catie asked me before I drove off.

"I'm free tomorrow, why?" My heart smiled at the sight of her anxiously fiddling with her hands as she tried to ask me on a date.

"I was wondering if I, or if we, could go um, you know, go see a movie, or something, or anything you want, like anything." Catie nervously rambled and I giggled. We never did this in the beginning. We just jumped into it, but that's what kids do.

"Text me when you have a date planned and give me a time and the dress code, and I'll be there." I smiled up at her before putting my helmet on and pulling out of the parking lot. I won't let her sit there and ramble for the next ten minutes, even though it was an adorable sight.

"So you and Catie again, huh?" Maggie sat with Mike, my mom, and I at our dinner table.

"We're going to actually take things slow this time. I still have my guard up, and if she cheated again it wouldn't surprise me, but at the same time it would with her being healthy now. I haven't kissed her, and I won't on the first date tomorrow either. When I say we're taking things slow, I mean it." I answered honestly.

"This time I'll end up going to jail if she cheats again." Mike took an aggressive bit out of his food.

"Yup, same." Maggie agreed with him.

"Jesus you two." My mom rubbed her temples.

"You get first punch, I get second?" Maggie clarified with my brother.

"Yeah, then it's a free-for-all." Mike nodded his head.

"Deal." Maggie nodded her head too, and I looked to my mom for help.
