POV: Ally
"Maggie, you've gotta get off." I giggled as I set my foot down on the concrete driveway to balance the bike.
"You're so warm and it's so cold." Maggie was shaking from being so cold.
"I know hun, but it's warm inside and you can take off the helmet." I sighed in relief as she got off. I'm pretty sure that if she squeezed any tighter I was no longer going to be able to breathe.
"Hurry." Maggie's teeth were chattering.
"I'm coming. I'm coming." I swung my leg over and got grounded before walking to the front door and unlocking it. Before I even walked in myself Maggie had pushed passed me and ran inside for the warmth.
"Where is your room?" Maggie turned to me.
"First door on the left up the stairs, but you're not getting in my bed all sweaty and nasty like that. You better shower first." I scrunched my nose up at the thought of that sweaty mess in my clean bed.
"Where is the bathroom then?"
"Second door on the left. I will get you clothes and a towel. I'll put it outside the door or just leave it unlocked and I slide them in." I shook my head as she ran up the steps. "You're so dramatic."
"I didn't have gloves, two sweatshirts, two pairs of sweatpants, and a helmet with a face cover! Eat shit!" Maggie yelled to me from the bathroom. Within two seconds I heard the water running.
After I had gotten her some clothes , all of it was hers, and taken a quick shower downstairs I had sat down on my bed and my phone buzzed.
Ryan: So are you free before the game?
Me: Sorry, from classes I go straight to practice.
Ryan: No need to apologize. When are you free?
Ryan kept trying days that I was free, but I either had practice, classes, or Maggie and I's time. No body can take that time away. I think this Ryan chick wants to be more than friends with benefits with the way she's talking to me, and it's awkward. Not what I was going for.
How the fuck did Catie do it?
"Texting?" Maggie brought my attention to her.
"Yeah." I nodded my head.
"I'm sleeping in your bed like it or not, so scoot." Maggie motioned for me to move since I was sitting in the middle of my bed.
"Fine, fine, stop rushing me." She continued to rush me as I scooted over and tried to get under the blankets at the same time.
"You texting the first basemen?" Maggie's voice got low.
"Yeah, but I think she wants an actual relationship and I only wanted a hook up." I scratched the back of my neck. "I'll just ghost her."
"Good."
"Hmm?" I glanced over to see her taking all of the blankets. "Um, excuse me. You can't take all of the blankets."
She fake snored and acted like she was asleep.
"Bet I won't push your ass out of this bed if you don't give me some of the blankets." I grabbed what I could.
Maggie gave me some, but not much.
I had to scoot closer to her in order to be able to cover most of my body.
"You're in my space." She grumbled.
"If you hog the blankets like this you leave me no choice. Either give me more blankets or suck it up."
"I'm cold." She whined and then put her cold ass feet on my bare legs.
"Oh fuck no!" I moved over to my side quick as hell.
"Wait! Come back! You are warm!" Maggie scooted over to me and gave me some blankets. "I'll make a deal, I'll give you some blankets if I get to curl up with you."
"You know I'm always cold, right? And that there is a medical reason for it?" I looked at her.
"I know you are, and you need to eat and keep the food down to fix it. For now I'm going to cuddle you because I'm cold." Maggie pulled me to her and gave me some blankets. "Warmth."
"You only like me for my body heat." I mumbled as I got my head adjusted on a pillow. I was laying on my back, and I never do that. This is not comfortable. "I'm not comfy."
"Then get comfortable and I'll work with." Maggie listed the blankets up so I could roll the way I needed to.
"Kay," I laid on my side facing away from her and cuddled into the blankets, and then her strong arms wrapped around me. "You're such a big baby." I giggled.
"Not everyone is cold blooded and rides a motorcycle so their used to it. You bitch sometimes, but I always bitch about every inconvenience." Maggie was still shivering some. I could fell her body slightly jolt here and there.
But there was a plus side for me from her holding me. Not just the warmth, but she made me feel safe. Protected.
"Your bed is so comfy. What kind of mattress do you have?"
"Dude, you expect me to know the exact kind of mattress I have? This thing is over eight years old and I didn't buy it."
"Jesus, no need to snap. Just asking." Maggie mumbled.
"If I start to jolt and scream, don't worry. It's just a nightmare." I gave her a heads up when I realized.
"I know hun. I woke you up from one when you were sleeping on my beanbag chair in my office. I know what to do." Maggie reassured me.
"Goodnight Maggs." I mumbled and let me eyes close.
"Goodnight Allz." She pulled me closer to her and I was content.
I felt safe enough to sleep the way I used to.
