POV: Ally
I'm laying in bed staring at the ceiling. I blocked Catie's number after the fiftieth text and the hundredth call.
Then my phone dinged again.
Coach: Let me know if you need me. I'm always here. I care about you.
I smiled at the small act of kindness.
Me: Thank you Coach Graves.
Coach: I told you to call me Maggie off of the field.
Me: I know, it's just weird to do that with me calling you Coach Graves for as long as I've known you.
Coach: Well, to you I am Maggie. Whenever you need me I'm here. Day or night. Rain or shine.
Me: Thank you Maggie. I needed that.
Coach: Don't thank me Ally. Let me know if you need me. Goodnight.
Me: I'm still going to thank you. Goodnight Maggie.
I locked my phone and then put it on the charger. At least someone other than my family cares about me, because Catie obviously doesn't.
POV: Mike
"Mom, I'm going to kill her." I was pacing back and forth in the kitchen at two am.
"Mike, you can't kill her. You will go to prison. Ally needs you right now. She doesn't need you to kill Catie." My mom sighed.
"I promised her that if she ever hurt Ally that I'd kill her, or at least beat the shit out of her." I wanted to kill the little shit to say the least. I wanted to rip her to shreds.
"Yes, but right now that isn't what Ally needs. Ally told me that she needed you within five minutes of stepping into the house. Don't think about your anger right now. Think about your sister."
"But-" my mom cut me off.
"No Micheal. That isn't what Ally needs right now."
I grumbled a few cuss words under my breath before plopping down beside my mom at the breakfast table.
"Listen, I have work in," my mom checked the clock on the wall. "In four hours, and I have yet to shower. Can I trust you to not do something to get yourself arrested? I don't care if you go home or spend the night here."
"You can trust me, and I'll stay here in my old room in case Ally needs me." I sighed and ran my fingers through my very short hair. "I'll head to bed. With me sharing a wall with her, I'll be able to hear her if she has a nightmare."
"Goodnight Micheal." My mom got up and pulled me into a long hug before walking off to her room.
I slowly walked up the steps, not wanting them to creak and it wake up Ally.
When I heard soft crying from my baby sister, my heart broke again.
I knocked on her door softly, and when she didn't respond I opened the door to see her shaking in her bed.
"Ally, I'm here." I whispered to her as I walked over to the side of the bed and sat on it beside her.
"Please stay in here tonight. Please Mikey." Ally sobbed and clutched onto my shirt.
"Yeah, let me get a pillow and I'll be on the floor right next to you, okay?" I made sure she was okay for me to leave her for just a second.
She weakly nodded her head.
I was quick to get up and run to my room. I grabbed a pillow, a blanket, and my phone charger before quickly walking back into Ally's room.
I got settled on the floor beside her. With her bed being a platform bed, she was only about a foot off of the ground, so she had her arm draped off of the side of her bed for me to hold her hand.
