I let out an exaggerated yawn when I entered the library. Alec had the nerve to demand that I come down to the office at 5:30am. Like I know he doesn't sleep, but some of us actually do. Alec was hovered over a desk while Pierce was lounging in a chair. As I got closer, I saw that Alec was peering at the map that we stole last night.
"Good morning, little sister. Sleep well?" Alec asked while highlighting something on the map.
"Would've preferred to still be in my bed. Paging my room at 5:30am isn't really ideal." I glared at him.
"That's understandable since you require sleep. I called you here to invite you on a side mission with Pierce and I. What do you say?"
"Depends on the mission." I crossed my arms. "Are you going to be stealing something again?"
"Yes, but no guns this time."

Pierce was speeding the boat across the ocean. It was hard to relax since the jerking of the boat kept threatening to throw me out.
"Life vest?" Alec asked as he noticed my uneasy state. I rolled my eyes, but took it anyway.
"Where are we going?" I shouted.
"A little island that's more rock than sand. We have to cross over the South China Sea to get there, so might as well rest up."
"Why? Because it's a long ride?"
"Because the ocean can get rather choppy over there and I think you'd want all of your energy when we get there." I nodded and headed down to the cabin to nap a little. Well, my nap was interrupted. I woke up from the impact of me being thrown against the wall. I groaned and opened my eyes to see the light violently oscillating from side to side. The thud of books and other supplies caught my attention. Everything was falling and it seemed like the boat was harshly rocking back and forth. I quickly scrambled to my feet and peaked my head out of the cabin. Alec and Pierce were dashing back and forth. Alec was hoisting up a sail while Pierce was using a bucket to dump out the water that had splashed onto the boat. Rain drops pounded against my face.
"What's going on?!" I shouted at them. I was met with Pierce's laugh.
"Welcome to the South China Sea, mate! The most dangerous waters in the world!" He announced.
"What?!"
"Hey, if it was easy then everyone would go through it." Alec chimed in.
"You invited me to go on a mission with you that was extremely dangerous?!"
"I figured you'd rather have a little adrenaline rush than join Nic for a yoga class." He shrugged.
"Why are we sailing?! Don't we have a motor?!" I ignored his previous statement.
"Engine's shot, sister. We're sailing now."
"Through a storm?!"
"Mini-hurricane is more precise." Pierce corrected. I was about to respond, but the boat suddenly shook. I lost my balance and almost tumbled over the side, but Alec grasped my arm.
"Now you know why I told you that you should rest. You'll need all of your energy if you're gonna survive this. Now, grab a bucket. Pierce, direct the hull." Alec climbed up the mast since the sails were tangled. Pierce shoved past me and clutched onto the steering wheel. I figured that I could berate them later since it was in my greatest interest to get as much water out of this boat. My efforts to get the water off the boat were futile since it was thunder storming and the waves were crashing into us. I could barely lift my arms since I was exhausted. It was hard enough to bucket water out of the boat, but it was even harder since I had to keep my balance on this rocking boat. I took a moment to catch my breath. While doing that, I saw my brother skillfully climb across the sails. I was literally knocked out of my observation by a wave. I screamed as it sent me over the side of the boat. I crashed into the waves. I was immediately disoriented, but somehow was able to find my way back up to the surface. I took a deep breath of air as I made it back to the surface.
