"Hope!" Alec knocked loudly against my door. I groaned while placing a bookmark so I wouldn't lose the page. I rolled off of my bed and answered the door to see him causally leaning against the frame.
"What?" I crossed my arms.
"We're going to Mexico. Pack an overnight bag just in case." He walked away. "Meet downstairs in 10 minutes!" He shouted as he disappeared behind the corner. What the hell?

"So... is anyone gonna tell me what we're really doing here?" I looked over at Jason fiddling with the magazine on his Ar-15.
"We're gonna take something from some... semi- dangerous people." Alec glanced at me from the passenger seat.
"And we need guns to do that?" I pushed.
"Yeah because they're probably gonna greet us with guns."
"What are you stealing?"
"Wolfsbane." Pierce and Alec simultaneously said.
"Yellow wolfsbane to be exact." Mason added with a grin. Great. I rolled my eyes as I sunk deeper into the leather seats of the Escalade. We drove through the town of Tijuana and I observed the people eyeing our vehicle with curiosity. Pierce drove the car down the dirt path and stopped outside of a rundown building. Jason and Mason got out of the car. I went to scoot out the side Mason got out from, but Alec stopped me.
"Listen. These people will not hesitate to kill you, so shoot to kill and don't ask questions." He shoved a pistol into my hands. "Whatever you do, avoid using your supernatural abilities please." He took my nod as confirmation and exited the car. Jason and Mason had their guns hoisted up as they cautiously approached the warehouse. Alec, Pierce, and I had our pistols ready as well. We advanced in a U formation with Alec being in the middle, Pierce and I being on either side of him, and Jason and Mason were closest to the entrance. At Alec's signal, they kicked in the door. Mason and Jason immediately lit up the room. Pierce and Alec entered after them and engaged in firing bullets. Should I go in or not? I jumped when I heard what sounded like a grenade go off. Yep! I'll just stay out here. Or so I thought. I heard sirens in the distance and since the last thing I want to do is visit a Mexican jail, I hurried into the building.
Due to the dust, it was hard to see. I'm surprised that the building didn't collapse from the damage that they caused. I heard gunshots ringing out, so I slowly advanced in that direction. Pierce and another guy were in hand to hand combat. He knocked the guy off his feet and then aimed his gun at the guy's head. Without any hesitation, he put a bullet between the man's eyes. My breath hitched in my throat. It must've been pretty loud since Pierce turned and glared at me. Jason carried a tub while he ran into the room. He rummaged through it and handed Alec a vial.
"We've got it boys." Alec grinned as he observed the yellow powder inside. He noticed me and cleared his throat. "And girl... lets head out." The others nodded and jogged outside. I was too stunned to move, so Alec had to grab my arm and guide me outside. We sat in our same positions for the ride back. Pierce driving, Alec in the passenger seat, and me being sandwiched between Mason and Jason.
"Why'd you kill those people?! You had the upper hand! You could've just knocked him out! There was no reason for killing him!" My outburst was really aimed at Pierce since I witnessed him murder someone. I'm almost positive that the others killed innocent people as well.
"Things aren't always what they seem. Those people in there were hunters. That's why I requested you didn't show that you have supernatural abilities. I don't need them hunting you down." Alec was still observing that vial of... what did they say it was again? Wolfsbane! Yeah. He was observing that vial of Yellow Wolfsbane.
"What do you need that for? Obviously, it's important if you were willing to get killed for that." I crossed my arms and glared at the back of his head.
"It's for a buyer." Alec ended the conversation. The rest of the ride was spent in silence if you discount Jason and Mason humming to their songs on Spotify. We arrived back at the mansion late in the evening. Alec was nice enough to allow me to eat Taiga's delicious Peking pork chops before demanding that I accompany him to meet the buyer. Why couldn't he take Pierce with him and leave me to enjoy Taiga's cooking?! I huffed in annoyance as Alec drove through the busy streets. Well, not really drive because the traffic was crazy. I berated him about his choice of vehicle. If you wanted to be less conspicuous, then why would you drive a Maserati? He stated that he didn't care to be conspicuous. Which was the reason for my latest huff of annoyance. It was pitch black out, but I guess that's perfect for doing an illegal deal. Alec pulled up to an abandoned building. What's with these people and abandoned buildings?! Alec paused and looked at me. Ugh! I know that look. It means don't say anything and follow my lead. I nodded which caused a small smile to appear on his face. I followed him into the the building to see an older man accompanied by three people. Those must be his bodyguards since they had guns, but something about them screams... HUNTERS! Is Alec really gonna do business with hunters?!
"I thought you weren't gonna show." The older man addressed Alec.
"I was contemplating keeping it for myself." Alec smoothly answered.
"Do you have it?"
"Do you have it?" Alec questioned back. The man motioned for the two men to open a few suitcases. They unzipped them and inside were wads of hundred dollars bills. Alec smiled and twirled the vial of Yellow Wolfsbane between his fingers.
"I was expecting more." The older man's features hardened.
"You know how it goes, Argent. More product requires more pay. You do understand that? Right, Gerard?" Alec quirked an eyebrow. Gerard glared, but motioned for the men to carry in 20 more suitcases. Where are all those suitcases going?! Alec then pulled out 10 vials from his suit jacket. He handed it to one of Gerard's lackeys. "So... who's getting the heat?" Alec eyed Gerard curiously.
"Scott McCall. Know of him?" Gerard inquired.
"Heard of him since I'm your main supplier for all of your attempts to end that boy's life. Plus, I have my wolves taking care of your little French problem." He smirked. What French problem is he talking about? "Send these to the usual location... and look forward to doing business with you shortly." Alec motioned to the suitcases. Gerard nodded and turned away. Alec guided me back to the car and drove back to the house.
"What French problem?" I couldn't hold my curiosity back anymore.
"Remember when you first came to LA. Your friend was attacked by a werewolf. He's resurfaced again and Jason and Mason have tracked him down. They're dealing with it now." His gaze remained focused on the road.
"And that guy that you just did business with is a hunter. Why would you do that? He's gonna kill someone and you helped him."
"I follow the dollar, Hope. I'm morally flexible." Alec looked at me before returning his attention back to the road.
