I rubbed my eyes and yawned after Alec had lightly shaken me awake. The behemoth stopped at the base of a mountain. I followed the rest of the guys and slid down the side of the animal. Blue caught me and placed me on the ground. I groaned thinking that we were gonna have to hike up the mountain, but Taiga had something else in mind. He bended a large slab of rock to form. He stepped on it and motioned for us to stand on it as well. Taiga then began to pull his arms back. I fell down from the force of the rock whizzing up the side of the mountain. I'm glad I wasn't the only one surprised by the force since Pierce and Alec fell as well. Blue snickered at our state since only he and Taiga were standing. Taiga slowed down the speed and eventually stopped it the moment we arrived at the entrance of a cave. We dismounted the rock elevator and embarked on the journey inside the cave.
Torches adorned the side of the cave allowing for our passageway to be dimly lit. As usual, Taiga and Blue led the way inside. I started to hear loud voices drunkenly shouting. We scaled the wall to see thousands of goblins. Some were pushing trebuchets, cauldrons with boiling gold liquid, and carts with different weapons along the wooden tracks. In the middle of the enormous room was a largely obese goblin singing.
"Why are we crossing through goblin territory?!" I whispered yelled.
"Good. You're learning fast about the different species." Blue grinned. "We can't go straight to the orcs since they'll pick up our scent, so we're going through here to mask it."
"Is he the king?" I pointed to the large obese one with a crown on his head.
"Yep. We need to pass through here, so let's skirt the perimeter and quickly get out." We all nodded at Blue and crouched down as we stayed close to the wall. We ran and hid behind crates and carts. We were making progress until a goblin had spotted me. It screamed and pointed at our location.
"Ya know, I was just waiting for you to give away our position." Pierce pestered me.
"Like I did it on purpose!" I fired back.
"Are you sure you're not an agent of the dark lord? Hmm?" I shoved Pierce down. The goblin king bellowed for his subjects to attack us. Pierce stood up and did a wind spell thrusting them backwards. What he didn't account for was the wooden beams that began breaking from the wind.
"Nice job. Are you sure you don't work for the goblin king?" I snared back. I rolled my eyes at his glare and stood up to run. Taiga refused to earthbend since we were underground and any movement of the earth threatened to cave us in whereas Blue didn't want to do any fire bending in such close quarters. We ran and slashed the goblins in our way. We ran along the wooden ramp onto the wooden structure. Goblins jumped down onto the structure and ran towards us. Pierce and Alec kicked down the banister of the structure. They switched positions with Taiga and Blue in the front. Alec and Pierce swiped the beam from left to right knocking the goblins off the structure. They then dropped the beam and used their swords to knock the goblins over. Goblins started firing crossbows at Blue who parried them away with ease. Taiga grabbed a wooden ladder and acted as a shield for Blue. He twisted the ladder around to block the arrows. Blue grabbed onto the ladder and then the two of them lowered the ladder onto the goblins and drove it into the crowd of goblins pushing them off the bridge. Blue and Taiga placed the ladder in a position where it connected our side to the other. We ran across the ladder to the other side filled with goblins. Taiga used his weapon to knock the goblins back. Pierce pushed the ladder off so that the goblins behind couldn't follow us.
We battled our way to a swinging bridge which we used to jump onto the other side. Taiga and Blue rapidly accessed their bows to shoot the rope holding the swinging bridge. Goblins had jumped on in an effort to follow us, but Blue and Taiga's arrows shot through the rope causing it to fall along with a dozen goblins. Taiga saw a large stone, so he bended it forward to crush the goblins ahead of us. Just as we made it to a wooden bridge, the goblin king shot up from underneath the structure. We stumbled back a bit as the goblin king stood up. He stood a striking 12 feet high unlike his 4 feet high subjects. His stomach jiggled back and forth as he walked closer to us.
