After having breakfast, we bid goodbye to the royal family and returned to our world. Blue removed the handle on the door behind us. I was finally able to release the breath I was holding. That was a rather eventful journey. Alec went to retrieve his phone so that he could call Nicola. She answered and explained to him that she took Vera, Solar, and Byul to Miami as a way to buy us time. Nicola stated that they'd be on the next flight to LA. My eyes almost bulged out when Alec ended the call and I saw his lock screen. It was Thursday night and, if I remembered the date correctly, school starts on Monday. It didn't even feel like we were in there for a week, especially not two and a half weeks!

"Told you time works differently." Alec noticed my perplexed expression. "I also think that you may want to go back to bed because you're probably tired." I opened my mouth to tell him that he was wrong, but a yawn escaped my mouth. He raised his eyebrow as a challenge, so I just huffed and moved passed him to my bedroom. I collapsed on the bed and was out.

I woke up late which said something since I had gotten a lot of sleep yesterday. I quickly did my routine and headed downstairs since I was hungry. As usual, Taiga made breakfast. On today's menu were pancakes, eggs, sausages, and a variety of fruits. He smiled at me as I took a plate. Yeah, I definitely will not be able to look at Blue or him the same way anymore knowing that they're complete badasses. Basically, I won't let the unicorn cupcakes that Taiga makes confuse me into thinking that he can't kill me in a thousand different ways. I went outside and watched Vera, Pierce and the wolves in the pool playing water basketball. Byul and Solar were sitting on a lawn chair talking. Blue appeared outside and called Pierce over to whisper something in his ear. He spoke quietly, but I was able to extrapolate that it had to do with Byul, Solar, and Vera returning to Korea. Pierce nodded and told him that they'd discuss it later. Alec was leaning on the window. He cocked his head to the side and went inside with Blue following him.

"So how'd you like Tartergon?" Nicola plopped on top of the table. I nearly choked on my food since she practically gave me a heart attack. "Sorry." Nicola chuckled while patting my back.

"Thanks... and it was interesting." I briefly answered her.

"That bad?" She giggled.

"Well, it was adventurous. We went just to advise Blue's parents about an army coming, but instead helped to fight in a war. And then we had to rescue some girls who were kidnapped. We met orcs, goblins, trolls, elves, dwarves, and beastfolk. Oh and did you know that Taiga and Blue are extraordinary fighters and they can bend elements. Then there was the infamous Blue telling his father off for Taiga and then his mother stepped in. And Blue found out he had a brother who actually stalked us and tried to kill Taiga... per his dad's orders. So yeah... quite eventful." Nicola laughed as I finished my rant.

"Sounds... exciting." Her lips flickered up into a smile. "I know you're leaving soon so how about your friends? How are they doing?"

"I mean you know that I blocked Landon's number since we went on a break and I didn't want to be tempted to text or call him. The twins are complicated. Lizzie and I have texted a bit throughout the summer, but Josie has been MIA. She's truly distraught over Madison just leaving to the point where she doesn't want to talk to anyone. It didn't help that Caroline took them to Europe, so she truly doesn't have to talk to anyone. Raph and MG are good." I breathed out.

"How about your family? Kol? Rebekah? Freya even?"

"Last time I spoke to Aunt Freya was before I left for LA. She wasn't happy about me spending the summer with my brother. I told her that he'd protect me, but that did little to ease her fears. Now, I know why considering what he does."
