Hope's POV

Alec, Pierce, some Beastfolk, and I found the boarded up entrance the dwarves were talking about. Pierce used his magic to blow it open so that we could enter. He then did a spell to illuminate the passageway since it was coated in darkness. I have a bad feeling about this or maybe I just have a bad thing about anything concerning this battle. Nevertheless, we entered the narrow passageway with Alec in the lead. Alec held his hand up to motion for us to stop advancing when a low growl was heard. Alec slowly walked into the center of the room by himself. I was visibly shaking so Pierce put a comforting hand on my shoulder. He shot me a small smile before turning his attention back to where Alec stood. 10 pairs of yellow eyes glowed in the darkness. The pair of eyes in front of Alec moved closer and placed its claw on the wall as it emerged from its position. The lycan had pitch black fur, but its snout was severely scarred to the point that you could see the muscle underneath. Saliva dripped from its mouth as it made eye contact with Alec. It roared signaling the rest of its pack to advance. Alec knocked four different lycans down with his blades. Pierce used his magic to create a fire wave at three of them. The Beastfolk fought back, but unfortunately two of them got ripped in half. Alec took on two more while Pierce was knocked harshly into a wall. I incorporated my tribrid side into swinging the sword across the lycans' neck. The Beastfolk killed a lycan leaving Alec to dispose of the last one. We heard the faint sound of a horn overhead giving us the signal.

Blue's POV

Alec, Pierce, and Hope just left, much to Alec's reluctance. He didn't like the idea of Taiga and I being separated since we always have a partner for missions. I eased his concerns by telling him that I trusted the elves to watch my back.

"Such a shame that these beautiful fields will be stained by their blood." I smirked as Taiga walked next to me.

"Shouldn't you be in the mountains right about now?" I teased him.

"Yes, but I wanted to tell you that I'll meet you in the center of the pavilion." He pointed at the tower.

"Meet me?" I scoffed. "More like I'll be waiting for you to catch up." I lightly poked him.

"Let's make a wager. When I beat you there, you'll have to plan our next date."

"And when I beat you, you'll be planning our next date. Although, I want you to keep that in the back of your mind since I don't want you being distracted during battle thinking about where you're taking me." He rolled his eyes at me, but grinned. The sound of a horn was blown signaling that the enemy was a mile away from us.

"That's my cue to go. The rest of the team left immediately to set up. I've just got one elf waiting for me since you know we never travel alone during battle. I'll see you soon." Taiga kissed me before mounting his Pegasus and flying away with one of the female elves. I was double checking my weapons when I felt a presence next to me.

"Heed my advice and sit this one out, Ronin. There's no need for you to die and if you die, then my head will be on a spike." I didn't bother to spare him a glance.

"No! I will fight against evil! Nothing you say will prevent me from protecting those who look up and depend on us! I fight for everyone's freedom from darkness! I will not-"

"Okay. Okay. Jeez. Just please stop your speech." I held my hands out. "Just... stay close to me." He nodded and I rolled my eyes before walking to the front of the elf army. I nodded my head at the sunfire, moonshadow, and startouched elves to mount their respective animals. The sunfire elves disappeared to their dragons while the others went to their Pegasi. The skywing elves were already in position to launch into the sky. Some humans and dwarves were on horseback while the rest were on foot. The enemy was now 800 meters away and started running at us. "WE ARE FIGHTING FOR OUR FREEDOM! FOR OUR OFFSPRING TO LIVE FREELY AND WITHOUT FEAR! FIGHT FOR YOURSELVES! FIGHT FOR YOUR COUNTRY! FIGHT FOR EACH OTHER!" The army started yelling and knocking their weapons on the ground. I turned around and saw that the enemy was 500 meters away. "ARROWS!" I held my hand up. Wait for it... wait for it... 400 meters away. "RELEASE!" Thousands of arrows flew overhead gunning for the enemy. "RELEASE!" The second wave of arrows were fired striking down some of our opponents. "ATTACK!" I yelled when they were 300 meters away. The dwarves were the first to meet the demon army followed by the rest of us. I precisely slashed the throats of the enemies. I made my way to the middle of the battlefield where I saw the purple goblin general. We made eye contact with each other and advanced towards the other. Some demons attempted to attack me, but I easily deflected their attacks and sliced their throats.
