I woke up on a soft grass bed. I perched myself up on my arms and observed my surroundings. Taiga sat on a branch while speaking to Pierce who was casually leaning against a tree. Blue meditated a few feet away from me. My eyes fell on Alec's as he handed me some fish to eat. Breakfast I guess. After I finished eating, we all began our journey. The original plan was to go to their homeland, but Blue decided to change it at the last minute. He wanted to visit the sorcerer who opened the portal to our world since that same sorcerer might have given other people entry. This had led us to enter mountains that had a rough and stony landscape.

"Watch out for loose stones. Don't want you twisting an ankle." Alec placed a hand on my shoulder. My nod was enough confirmation for him since he lightly brushed passed me. We trekked through the mountain until we came across a steep cliff. How were we supposed to get up there?

"You see that little cave up there?" Blue pointed up. "That's where the sorcerer lives." The two of them stepped backwards. Pierce walked behind Taiga and hopped onto his back. Taiga and Blue then broke out into sprints and jumped 20 feet into the air. When they were close enough to the mountain, they punched it to create an indent in the side. The two of them kept punching and climbing the massive monument.

"They're creating a path for us to climb. We'll jump off that rock over there to gain some height. Let's go." Alec lightly tapped my shoulder. Alec sprinted towards the rock and used it to launch himself into the air. He gasped onto the indentation Blue had left behind. I followed after Alec, but grabbed onto Taiga's indentations instead. It felt like we had been climbing for hours when in reality it had only been 30 minutes. Alec helped me onto the side where the sorcerer's cave was.

It was dimly lit inside. There were a multitude of candles, but they had all been snuffed out. There were a variety of colored stones, powders, and potions scattered around the place. I found an old book, so I began flipping through it. I closed it and coughed when dust erupted from the pages. I took a moment to glance at the others who seemed to be having a hard time finding this mysterious sorcerer. Well, that was until Blue called us deeper into the cavern. An old man with long white hair and a beard to match laid completely still with a blade sticking out of his chest. Taiga was immediately at his side and tested the man's pulse point. He looked down and shook his head to communicate that the man was dead.

"Who could've killed him?" Alec inquired.

"Man." Blue held up a tattered piece of cloth on it. Alec, Pierce, and I gave him a confused look so he continued. "I guess the closest thing I'd describe them as would be humans. Our homeland is made up of elves so I doubt they'd freely kill him since we regard this mountain with reverence. We've known about this particular sorcerer inhabiting the mountains and never saw him as a threat."

"His body is cold, but not frigid. This happened recently." Taiga removed his hands.

"When a sorcerer of his power dies, a force is released into the world... which means that we don't have much time. Gaga!"

"I know, Blue. I'm sorting through the potions as we speak." Taiga hands rummaged through the rack of bottles.

"Something tells me we're at time." Pierce pointed behind us. We turned and saw 5 men entering in bronze armor. Taiga and Blue quickly pulled their hood over their heads. Based on the fact that their ears were pointy, I'm gonna assume they're elves. They took one look at the dead sorcerer on the floor and unsheathed their swords.

"No killing." Blue murmured. The elves attacked us and we parried their strikes. I was able to knock the weapon out of my opponent's hand so that I could engage in hand to hand combat. I swept him off his feet and easily gained the upper hand. By the time I had knocked him unconscious, more elves entered into the room. I was getting ready to fight back when Alec put his hand on my shoulder. I turned back and gave him a confused look. He cocked his head towards Taiga and Blue who had placed their weapons on the ground. Were we really surrendering?! Pierce handed me a vial of purple liquid. Umm... how about no.
