Leaving You

Luke's POV

I bent down over her. She has passed out on the stairs. I picked up her dainty and thin body. I finished running down the stairs and ran her to the medic. Brooklyn was stitching up Cecilia and I set Raphael down on the bed. Brooklyn ditched Cecilia and came over and checked Raph. Blood seeped out the back of her head and onto the soft pillow. "What happened Luke? She's bleeding like hell." I ran a hand through my hair. "She passed out and hit her head off the stairs." Raph's platinum white hair was now partially stained red.
       Brook flipped her on her side and parted her hair and began to stitch her head up. Raph's fingers curled around mine. I squeezed her hand. Raphael's eyes slowly opened. I bent down to her eye level. "Are you okay my Love?" She squinted her eyes shut as Brook continued to stitch up her head. "Sorry Raphael." Raphael held up a flimsy thumbs up. Raphael let out a small whimper as Brooklyn tightened the stitches and knotted it. I wiped a stray tear out of her eye. "It's okay Love. It's all okay." I turned my attention to Brook. "Do we know why she passed out yet?" She shook her head. "We don't have the equipment here to do so. We would have to go to a hospital." I turned back to Raph. "We're going to a hospital. I want to make sure you're okay." She scrunched her nose.

Raphael's POV

   Should I tell him now or later that I have a major fear of hospitals and needles? Nah it can wait. Woohoo we're going to a hOsPiTaL!

    I slid under the brain checker thingy. I think it was an MRI I'm not sure. I was just slightly shaking don't worry I'm good. "Ma'am can you please stop shaking?" The nurse kindly asked me. "If you had a fear of hospitals and needles you'd be shaking too." I yelled. "Sorry." She mumbled in the mic again. A large red beam crossed my vision. I squeezed my eyes shut. "Okay Miss Miranda we're done. Now if you'll let me lift you off the table." The table I was laying on moved forward and the nice nurse lady helped me up. I stumbled a bit. They gave me pain relievers so I was a little........... stoned.
     She set me in a wheelchair and wheeled me back to the room. I tried to stop the shaking in my hands. But it wouldn't stop. She wheeled me into my room and I stood up and sat on the bed. No one was in the room with me. "C-Can you get Luke?" I mumbled. "Yes Miss. is he the blonde you arrived with?" I nodded. She quickly waltzed out the room. Since I still had an IV in my arm I couldn't go far, I also wasn't about too. I looked around the boring beige hospital room. It had started to shrink and my gut felt weird. My throat felt like it was restricting on itself. I pulled my knees to my chest and pushed my head in them.
       My breathing grew rapid, trying to get air in my system, and I started to shake more. Footsteps entered the room quickly. My arms were pried from around my legs and Luke picked my head up to face him. "Hey.... Love just breathe. It's all good. Focus. 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1... Good Love, that was so good." I counted down with him and he sat down next to me. "You don't like hospitals do you?" I shook my head. I put my head on his chest and hung there for a couple moments before a man cleared his throat. I jumped and looked at the doorway. It was just the doctor from before.
     Every second I was in the hospital I got even more nervous. Time seemed to tick in nano-seconds. Minutes turned to hours and seconds turned to minutes as I never expected what the doctor was going to say next.
         "Bye going off the CT and MRI scans and what you have told me. Nausea, chills, coughing, fatigue, itchy skin, chest pain, and swollen lymph nodes are all signs of Blood Cancer.... or more specifically Leukemia. Plus you're more at risk of getting seizures more frequently because of you're epilepsy. So we would you like to process this and we'll keep in touch to get you you're next appointment."
      Cancer. A song by My Chemical Romance. A song that was covered by Twenty One Pilots. A song that has now an entirely different meaning to me. Cancer. It's real. It's a tragedy many people have had or experienced. It's what I have: Cancer. Of course I have it, just right when I found the love of my life: Luke Dean Castellan. He's my home, my everything, my entire universe. My world is sitting right in front of me, crying while looking into my blank eyes. Those sky blue eyes I hold so dearly to my heart, were now bloodshot with tears. He was probably more scared than me.

     Before I knew what was happening. A nurse entered saying that I could get checked out and leave, no charge at all. That a certain young woman paid for everything. Before I knew it, I was in a car with Luke. I was sitting in the passenger seat blankly just staring. I started to gradually fall asleep. My eyes heavy and my body light from the meds they gave me for the pain I was feeling. I closed my eyes and drifted off. Praying that this will be the last day I'll see.
