Twenty Three

You eventually headed to your dorms after your encounter with Saiki, of course taking back his powers as soon as you teleported back. He didn't bother to complain but you could tell he wasn't really happy about it. And you went to bed, pretty late since you had been distracted writing, but getting to sleep well.

And in the morning, you woke up to an alarm.

"Urgh... Is that yours?" You mumbled to Aiura, feeling less than rested.

"No, thought it was yours..." She mumbled, shifting in her bed to cover her ears with pillows. You blindly found the alarm clock on the bedside table using your hands, and shut it off quickly.

"I guess it was put there by the camp leaders... Which means we should probably get up." You yawned, kicking off your bed covers and getting out of bed.

You stretched out while Aiura grumbled, "Just a few more minutes..."

"Haven't you been sleeping since 7 yesterday, though?"

"I need my beauty sleep! It's too early anyway." She whined.

You rolled your eyes at her, letting her go back to sleep for the time being, and get ready yourself. Shortly after your door was knocked on, the camp leader going around and telling people to be out of their rooms in 30 minutes. You woke up Aiura, and she got to getting ready with slight panic at the time limit.

And then two of you had headed out just in time, seeing everyone in the hall.

Your camp leader, Hata, was standing in front of you all with a grin. Her bright energy contrasted everyone else's tiredness in the room, including the other camp staff members. "Alright people! Hope you're awake, because you'll be making your own breakfast today!"

Everyone groaned.

"Hey, this is camping, not glamping! You don't get things served to you! You should be happy we gave you stoves instead of leaving you with campfires!" She yelled in response, and Aiura snickered.

"Hey, she reminds me of you."

"Huh? Since when I do I ever do that?"

"Eh, we've all seen how you interact with Saiko."

She continued to snicker as she walked off along with the rest of your class, and you shook your head in response, laughing along. What she was saying was kind of true, after all.

And so your class started to chose what they'd make, you wondering where you could jump in. You were about to join the people making curry, wanting to learn how to do so, until Kokomi walked over.

"Y/n~! Let's make sweets!" Kokomi smiled, everyone's eyes on her as she did.

"Okay, sure." You shrugged, knowing better to refuse her. You could just watch everyone cook around you to learn their techniques anyway. She cheered in response, and after telling the camp leader what you were working on, you got to it.

"I'll make coffee jelly! A-Ah, how do I do that, Y/n?" Kokomi asked awkwardly after she realized she had no idea how to do it, and you laughed.

"Don't worry, I'll teach you. They're for Saiki, right?" You whispered lowly so her fanboys couldn't hear, and she jumped, cheeks red and eyes wide.

"A-A-Ahhaha, well..." She trailed off bashfully, and you laughed in response.

"Well, I'll give you the recipe, okay? And I'll make sure to help out if you need anything..." You said, getting out a notebook and pen. You always had them on you, whether to draw away your boredom or write an emergency power to learn when you didn't have access to a computer. You ripped out a page and wrote your instructions quickly, and gave it over to Kokomi.
