"So why exactly were you waiting in my room?" You asked Saiki. For whatever reason, he hadn't yet gone home. You still didn't know why. He sat on your bed, having some of the other sweets you hadn't finished, since he still wanted something sweet. You were at your computer, but you had stopped writing to start talking to the boy. He shrugged.

"Because I wanted the jelly." He spoke. You raised an eyebrow.

"But you could have waited at your place." You spoke. He shrugged, continuing to eat, and you tried to read his mind. However... All that was in his head was, 'Jelly, jelly, jelly, jelly, jelly, jelly...' "The heck..? Are you actually that mad??"

"What?" He asked, wide-eyed. Your eyebrows furrowed. You then scoffed,

"Jelly, jelly, jelly? What's that about?" You laughed. He looked away, not answering, still thinking about jelly. "...Are you blocking me from your thoughts?"

The 'jellies' got louder at this.

'JELLY, JELLY, JELLY...'

"Wow. You've got something you really don't want me to know, huh? Wonder what that is." You smirked. He shrugged. "...Is that not annoying you? Like, isn't that taking a lot of concentration to do? The jelly thing, I mean."

"It is." He replied concisely to keep his jelly string going. You let out a sigh.

'If he carries on like this, he's gonna get himself a headache or something...' You thought. You walked over, then softly tapped his face with your knuckle. His eyes widened as he stared at you confusedly. "You've got the mind reading blocker thing I used to use. It takes some effort to use, but otherwise, it works. I gave myself a better one when I improved my mind reading to telepathy, hoping it works." You spoke, walking back over to your chair.

"Oh. Thanks." He spoke, wide-eyed, hand lingering on his cheek. You smiled at him.

"What did you even want me to not know anyway?" You asked. He gave you a sharp look, and you laughed. "Yeah, yeah. I know. Why would you tell me if you were trying so desperately to get me away? ...That makes me curious, actually. What could it be?"

"...It's nothing." He shrugged. You furrowed your eyebrows, thinking over it, before you realized.

"Ahh, I see." You grinned, and he seemed to pale. "You've got your brother over, don't you?!"

"What? No." He deadpanned. The grin was wiped off your face, replaced by a look of confusion.

"Wait, seriously?! That's not it?? No way! I'm going to check your house!" You yelled, walking off. He suddenly teleported between you and the door.

"No." He said. Aha! So you were right. "Stay here."

"Why's that? So I don't meet your brother?" You grinned. He let out a sigh.

"...I'll come with you to my place to prove my brother's not there. But come back after." He said. You tilted your head. What...? So his brother really wasn't home? So then why...? "Good grief... Can't we just stay?"

"I'll go by mysel--"

"No, I'll come with you." He spoke. 'What's with this guy...?'

"Uhm, you sure? Am I like, in danger or something? Why do you have to stay with me?" You asked.

"You're not in danger... Just..." He trailed off. You were confused. Why wasn't he talking...? "I just want coffee jelly."

"Oh. But I don't have any?"

"You promised to buy me some." He replied. That... Was a dumb reason. But okay. You were still suspicious as ever, but you didn't really care too much. You just wanted to see if his brother was home...
