You had been excited about this date that your friend had set you up on after you finally agreed to let her set you up with one of her coworkers but from the moment you got in the car with your date, things took a turn. He wasn't like anything as your friend had told you, he was very judgy about your outfit, the number of tattoos, and your hair. You hoped that things would turn around at the restaurant because you had been excited to try dating again.

"Sorry about this, we are super crowded tonight since that review came out. I hope you guys don't mind the closeness." She said apologizing.

"Hey it's alright, you don't need to apologize for how well your business is doing." You said giving her a small smile unaware that you had a caught the attention of someone else who was having a bad date.

"Why did you apologize to her? I mean their overcapacity, they shouldn't be opened right now." Your date said making you roll your eyes.

"Because this isn't her fault, you should've know that this place was gonna be crowded after they were featured on the news." You said rolling your eyes as you looked over the menu.

You were furiously texting the girls in the group chat about what had happened so far with this clown when your eyes landed on pair of piercing blue ones staring right at you with a smile on his face which you returned.

"So Bea tells me your some kind of performer? What exactly does that mean?" Your date asked.

"I mean honestly I do a lot more than cherograph dances for artists. I have and never will be cafind to just dancing." You said realizing that he was doing that judgy thing again like he did when you first met.

"I mean I think you should want more for yourself than to be a dance for a Major Lazer, eventually your not gonna be able to do it." He said shocking you at his words and clearly the people next to you.

About thirty minutes later, you had excused yourself to the bathroom where you were currently talking to the girls about what happened and the cute boy you had been flirting with instead of your date. Deciding that you were just gonna end it here and get an Uber home, you made it out of the bathroom, nearly colliding with the beautiful boy from earlier.

"Sorry about that. I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." You said apologizing to him.

"It's alright. Look I know we don't each other but I was wondering if you wanted to um maybe ditch our bad dates and go do something together." He asked making you smile.

"I would love nothing more. I'm Chanel by the way." You said offering him your hand as you tried to figure out where you knew him from.

"Cody and can I just say I don't understand what made you go out with that guy in there." He says making you laugh as you stepped outside.

"Well I didn't want to but to humor my best friend who wouldn't stop pestering me about getting back out there, since i haven't dated anyone in a few years. So I let her set me up with this guy but instantly regretted it the moment he opened his mouth." You said making him laugh.

"That bad huh?" He asks.

"Let's just say I've never felt more disrespected in my life than I have tonight. It started with my appearance and progressed on to my career and everything else." You said as two walked around downtown.

"I can imagine. My date was trying to tell me the same thing about my acting but I think what they fail to realize is that there is always going to be something for us to do with our careers whether we are famous or not." He says.

"Exactly at least someone gets it." You said slightly shivering from the cold air.

"Here take this, you must be freezing." He says placing his jacket over your shoulders.

"Thank you." You said giving him a small smile.

You two ended up walking to a diner and grabbing something to eat where you learned more about each other and it felt like you two had known each other longer than you have and it made you grateful that tonight wasn't a complete bust. You hated that the night was coming to an end, you almost didn't want it to end.

"Thank you for agreeing to come out with me tonight." He says.

"No need to thank me, in fact I should be thanking you for rescuing me from that clown." You said making him laugh.

"It was my pleasure. I couldn't sit by and let someone as beautiful as you suffer through that any longer." He said placing his hand ontop of yours.

"Well then do you think I could have your number, so that we could do this again sometime." You asked slowly sliding your phone over to him.

"As long as I can have yours." He says handing you his phone.
