One night was all Apollonia asked for, the one night that symbolizes the day the got married but she guesses that wasn't even important to Duncan anymore. She finished the wine that was in her glass before getting up and blowing out the candles, she had clearly wasted her time tonight and probably should've kept their kids at home instead of sending them to her friends. She made her down to their bedroom and began getting ready for bed.

Duncan made his way into his penthouse exhausted from the long day, he took his jacket off and made his way into the kitchen and saw the Happy Anniversary stuff on the table and sighed. He couldn't believe he forgot that today was his and Apollonia's anniversary.

"Apollonia baby?" He called out hoping to salvage this night somehow.

"Apollonia?" He called out again making his way toward their bedroom where he heard the shower running.

He walked over the bathroom door and tried to go in but instead was met with a locked door. Apollonia was finishing up in the shower when she heard Duncan knock on it which made her sigh because she really didn't feel like hearing his excuses tonight, she had planned on showering and sneaking away to her mom's for a few days just to think about everything.

She slowly got dressed and made her out of the bathroom, where she saw him sitting on the bed typing on his phone which didn't surprise her, he lived on that thing 24/7. She made her way over to clothes and grabbed one of her overnight bags and started packing.

"Why are you packing? Are we going some where?" Duncan asked finally putting his phone down.

"I'm going to my mother's for a few days, I need some space." She said zipping up the bag.

"Space? What do you need space from?" Duncan asked standing up.

"You. I don't know what we are doing anymore, your hardly home anymore and when you are, you on your damn phone. Do you realize that our kids don't even ask for you to come to their activities anymore because your never here? You don't have to see the sad looks on their face when I tell them that dad can't make it once again because of a work thing? I'm sorry but I can't keep doing this, sometimes it doesn't feel like we're married anymore." Apollonia said as the tears spilled down her face.

Apollonia couldn't believe that he didn't have nothing to say after that which broke her heart even more. She turned on her heel and made her way down the hall where she grabbed the keys to her car and drove over to her friends house to pick up her kids and start the drive to her mother's house.

"Thank you for watching them for a few hours, I didn't think that tonight would turn out the way it did." I said walking down the hall to each of their rooms.

"I'm sorry, what are you gonna do until you figure things out?" She asked as Bella, her youngest daughter came running over to her.

"Gonna go to my moms for a few days, at least the kids will have someone who actually wants to do something with them." She said sadly as she picked Bella up.

"We're going to grandmas?" Bella asked excitedly.

"Yeah we are, let's grab your brothers and then we can head over there." She said giving her a soft smile.

Apollonia grabbed her sons and said goodbye to her friend thanking her again for watching them. After getting her kids into her car, she started the long drive to her mother's house as her kids started falling back asleep leaving her alone with her thoughs.

"Mommy why isn't daddy with us?" Bella asked which caused her to panic.

"Bella he probably had some kind of work thing again, its the same thing it always is." Her oldest son Brody said making her sigh in disappointment that she let this happen for so long.
