Xavier thought he had officially lost it after becoming the only survivor of the Redwood attacks, he kept hearing a voice in his head and the lights/electric would cut out randomly throughout the day which caused him to begin researching into it. He found out that an angel sometimes communicates with humans through these signs and then he had a flashback to that night.

(Flashback)

Xavier knew that him and his friends were gonna die and the guilt of bringing them here was eating him alive as he laid there dying. He slowly started slipping in and out of consciousness knowing his death was coming when he felt a calming presence near him.

"I didn't mean for this to happen, I just wanted to get away for the summer." He said to the figure approaching him.

"Please I'm not ready to die." He plead weakily as the figure knelt beside him where he got a better view and saw the most beautfiul girl.

"Guess it's a good thing I'm not death then huh?" The soft voice said hoping to make him to laugh.

"Your not? Then who are you?" Xavier said reaching for her hand hoping for some comfort.

"That's not important right now. What matters is that God is not done with you." She said softly before she began to heal most of his injuires.

(END OF FLASHBACK)

Xavier wondered if the person that rescued him was an angel, he wanted to get into contact with her again and get some answers but how the hell would he contact an angel? He decided to call it a night and head to bed.

Avani made her way around Xavier's apartment taking note of everything in it and a smile was brought to her face when she saw that he had been looking into ways on how to contact her. She decided that she would humor him and stick around instead of dropping by and leaving like she had planned on doing.

Xavier had just returned home from teaching his aerobics class when he felt that calming prescene like he did that night.

"If you really wanted to talk to me, you could've just said so." She said making him turn around and finally see her clearly for the first time since they met.

"How did you find me? I mean I've been looking for you for the past year." He starts to say.

"The same way I found you that night, you know the stuff in these books aren't 100% accurate right?" Avani asked flipping through one of the books he had on the table.

"Are you the voice I have been hearing in my head since that night?" He asked.

"Yes. It's much easier for me to reveal my voice than my actual form because it can send most humans into a shock. I didn't want to scare you off after that night because I didn't know how much you remember." Avani said.

"And what are you exactly?"Xavier asked.

"Avani, an angel of the lord." She said slowly opening up her wings for him to see.

"Why would an angel out of all people save me from death?" He asked feeling even more confused at why someone as pure as her save him.

"Because the lord commanded it." She said.
