Elena made it back to the Dungeons and into the common room in record time she knew what the letter was about and she had to admit it made her nervous, Elena turned around as Draco and Blaise walked through the door.
"Can I have my letter now, please?" Elena demanded her hand outstretched as Blaise dug through his robe's pocket pulling the red letter out and handing it to her.
"Never seen someone so eager to open a bloody howler" he commented.
"Are you sure you want to open it?" Draco cautiously asked, "I mean they can be pretty brutal" he added, "especially if it's from one of your brothers" he muttered under his breath.
"It's from my Uncle Bobby I can handle it" Elena chuckled ripping the seal off.
"If you say so" Blaise shrugged watching the letter converse into the same thing Ron's was.
"DO I LOOK LIKE A DITCHABLE PROM DATE TO YOU PEOPLE, WHY AM I THE LAST TO KNOW ABOUT THIS TROLL, THREE-HEADED DOG AND WHAT WAS IT SOME POSSESSED STUTTERING PROFESSOR? AND WHY IN BLUEBALLS DO I HAVE TO WRITE WITH A QUILL SHOULDN'T IT KNOW I'M A DAMN MUGGLE? I SWEAR TO GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF EILEEN SNAPE THAT YOU HAVE NOT HEARD THE LAST OF THIS YOU IDJIT! Be safe, love Bobby Singer"
The letter ended and Elena could swear her face had paled about ten different shades of color making her look something between Peeves and one of the school's ghosts. She had done things, seen things, and faced some of her worst possible fears but Bobby Singer was still the most terrifying thing she has ever encountered especially when he's angry and that was coming from someone whose dad was Snape and whose brothers are the vessels to the devil himself and the archangel Michael.
"I might have been wrong" Elena admitted as the letter tore itself up.
"Blimey, 'Lena" Blaise breathed out horrified with the howler she had just received.
"You alright?" Draco asked leaning a comforting hand on her shoulder.
She just nodded in response.
It was expected after all since neither Sam nor Dean dared to tell Bobby what happened in her first year and there was no way in snowy hell she was going to either. He'd retract his blessing on fulfilling Snape and John's deal and that was the last thing on Earth she wanted. They introduced and dragged her into this life to hell if she was just gonna give it up like that. But how did he find out anyway? Who in their right mind would have told him? And then it all clicked into place. Cas!
"Yeah, should have seen that coming" Elena admitted to herself, "well, thank you guys for sparing me the entire school's humiliation and judgment" she thanked them making the boys scoff in amusement.
"Yeah, like they would understand a word your uncle says when he's yelling," Draco said playfully rolling his eyes.
"Sure," Blaise just shrugged his arms coming up to drape over both Elena and Draco's shoulders, "how about we get to class, hmm?"
"Joy, the famous breathtaking smiling bafoon, Gilderoy Lockhart" Elena drawled out her sarcasm laid on thick.
"Yeah, maybe his smile can defeat darkness itself" Blaise joked.
"Oh, please his smile can cure everything he's Gilderoy bloody Lockhart" Draco emphasized making them all laugh as they exited the dungeons.
