Draco and Elena stayed a little way back from the rest of the students as they took everything in before the castle doors swung open and they made their way up the stone steps leading towards the Great Hall.

"Going to meet Potter, how you holding up?" Draco asked glancing back at the redhead whose green eyes widened in realization she was so obsessed and stressed over the arrival and the sorting she almost completely forgot about her brother.

"I'm not sure" Elena finally shrugged taking the stairs two at a time now.

"How do you want me to meet him?" Draco questioned, "polite or Slytherin style?"

"You mean Draco or Malfoy style" Elena laughed shaking her head, "whatever you want, besides he'll probably not even be interested in a sibling bonding relationship" she reminded Draco who scoffed before they stopped at the top of the staircase only to be met by a woman dressed in a long dark green cloak she wasn't very young and she wore a small pair of glasses that sat on the bridge of her nose.

"Welcome to Hogwart's!" McGonagall announced. "Now in a few moments you will be passing through these doors to join your classmates but before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin" she informed them making Draco share a knowing look with Elena and Blaise who nodded. "Now while you are here your house will be like your family your triumphs will earn you points any rule-breaking and you will lose points" she warned. "At the end of the year, the house with the most points will be awarded the house cup-"

"Trevor!" Neville exclaimed leaping for the frog at the top of the steps cutting McGonagall off, "sorry" Neville mumbled.

"The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily" McGonagall informed them before stepping into the Great Hall and leaving the first-years alone.

"So, it's true then" Draco called out as he stared up at Harry making Elena shake her head, "what they're saying on the train, Harry Potter has come to Hogwart's," he said causing whispers to fly through the students, "this is Blaise and Elena, Eileen Snape, reckon you've heard of her... and I'm Malfoy."

"Eileen Snape" Harry whispered to himself in shock, Hagrid had told him all about her how she was the first-born and how she was his half-sister and he would be lying if he didn't say that it scared him as much as it excited him to have some other family besides the Dursley's.

"It's just Elena" Elena corrected with a small smile.

"Draco Malfoy" Draco cut in walking up to Harry with a smirk before Ron snickered earning him an instant and classic Malfoy glare, "think my name's funny, do you?" Draco questioned shutting Ron up immediately, "I don't think I need to ask yours, red hair, and a hand me down robe, you must be a Weasley" Draco concluded.

"This isn't going to end well" Elena muttered.

"How so?" Blaise questioned watching the interaction.

"Because Harry's either going to be Draco's best friend after that comment or his worst enemy" Elena answered.

"You'll soon find out some wizarding families are better than others, Potter, you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort" Draco stated holding his hand out to Harry, "I can help you there."

Harry glanced back at Elena before looking back up at Draco, "I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks" he remarked before McGonagall tapped Draco on the shoulder making him walk back to Elena and Blaise but not before giving Harry the death glare.

"And cue worst enemy" Elena commented in exasperation.

"We're ready for you now come along" McGonagall announced leading them through the giant golden doors and into the Great Hall. There were four long house tables all filled with students in different colored robes while the teachers' sat in the front of the hall at a large yellowwood table.
