Elena paid the candy stroller for a handful of candy that she had never seen or tried before but they looked sweet and fun as she settled back down opposite Snape who raised a curious brow at her food choice.

"What, I'm hungry" Elena shrugged.

"Perhaps a healthier food choice than Bertie Botts every flavor beans" Snape suggested clasping his hands together.

"When they say every flavor... do they mean-"

"Indeed" Snape nodded at his daughter who all of a sudden lost her appetite for that specific candy.

"Alright, how about a chocolate frog seems simple enough" Elena smiled popping the box open only for the frog to jump out and leap his way out of the window and to freedom, "okay, that's just sick" Elena stared at where her chocolate disappeared.

"Should have been faster" Snape commented reaching over to grab one of her pop suckers, "do give yourself credit most muggle-born students scream when they first see it" he reassured his daughter.

"But I'm not a muggle-born" Elena reminded him tilting her wizard card to the side, "cool, Dad, look I got you" she grinned showing him the small image of himself.

"Appears so" Snape nodded snapping his fingers before Elena saw herself standing next to Snape in the card.

"Awe sweet" Elena smiled.

"Best get changed, little one, we will be arriving soon," Snape said making Elena frown, "what's the matter?" he asked concern lacing his tone.

"Nothing" Elena shook her head getting to her feet and reaching for her bag at the top of the compartment.

"Eileen Lillian Mary Snape" Snape sounded out in a low tone making Elena freeze on the spot inwardly cringing at the use of her full name.

"I'm just nervous about the sorting that's all" Elena shrugged slinging her bag over one shoulder.

"You'll be fine Elena" Snape sighed, "whichever house you get in will be the right one for you" he assured her with a small smile.

"Even if it's not Slytherin?" Elena questioned, "you won't be mad?"

"Of course not" Snape shook his head at the ridiculous question, "I'll be proud whether it be Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff" Elena let out a relieved breath she didn't even realize she was holding before giving Snape a quick hug much to his surprise.

"Thanks, dad."

Elena walked out of the compartment quickly getting changed and doing a once over of herself before she walked back out bumping into a girl the same age as her with long, brown bushy hair and whiskey brown eyes.

"Hermione?" Elena eyed the girl before Hermione grabbed her in a hug almost tackling the redhead to the ground.

"Elena!"

"This is awesome I can't believe you're going to Hogwart's too, Mione" Elena smiled pulling away from the girl.

"I thought I'd never see you again" Hermione grinned happily as her eyes caught sight of the hopping frog she was hunting down before she bumped into Elena, "I got to go a boy named Neville's lost his toad" she sighed in frustration as she rushed past Elena and into the next room.

"Umm, okay-" Elena muttered before someone pulled on her arm and the next thing she knew she was seated in an entirely different compartment next to Draco and another boy she'd never seen before.

"Blimey, it's her" the boy gasped staring at Elena in shock making Draco roll his eyes.

"What are you doing kidnapping me, Drake?" Elena questioned turning to face the blonde who handed her an envelope.

"Father wanted you to have this" Draco said ignoring the question.

"Malfoy, you know her?" the boy opposite them asked.

"He does" Elena nodded ripping the envelope open to pull out a neatly written letter, "and you are?" she asked glancing up at him.

"Blaise, Blaise Zabini" the boy smiled leaning forward in his seat, "umm... do you really have the... you know?" he whispered gesturing to her neck, "the scar."

"Oh, yeah" Elena pulled her hair to the side to reveal her crescent moon mark in the crook of her neck.

"Wicked!" Blaise breathed out.

"You can so see your mom wrote this" Elena chuckled folding the letter back up.

"How so?" Draco questioned pulling a gummy worm apart with his teeth while Blaise munched on a chocolate frog.

"She threatened me and said she loves me all in the same sentence" Elena stated before grabbing the Bertie botts every flavor beans away from Blaise.

"Hey!" he whined.

"Sharing's caring, Zabini" Elena commented downing a handful of beans, "mmm, cherry, lime and vanilla" she smiled.

"That's wicked lucky," Blaise remarked snatching his sweets back, "all I've gotten is earwax, mud, and paper if you believe it" he muttered.

"We believe it" Draco assured being the next one to steal Blaise's Bertie Botts Every Flavor Beans.

"What? Are you two starving to death or something?" Blaise questioned before Draco scrunched his face up in disgust.

"Ughh, bloody hell, soap" Draco spat trying to get the taste out of his mouth.

"Serves you right, Malfoy" Blaise nodded triumphantly making Elena laugh before the train came to a stop.

"Ready?" Draco asked the two.

"Slytherin here I come" Blaise proudly joked.

"Here's to hoping" Elena crossed her fingers as she got to her feet.

Elena, Draco, and Blaise all shared a boat while Snape and the rest of the teachers took the horseless carriages for their arrival to the castle. The place was more than just magical it was astonishing and breathtaking the castle was completely medieval-looking and the mist that covered the lake and the castle grounds added to the allure and mystery of the place.
