Chapter 15

It's been one week since Ash proposed to Eve and everyone is trying to figure out when the wedding should be. I decided to help Eve find a dress for her in Jasper. Patch didn't want to get involved in the wedding and told us that they weren't her kind of thing. Gray was helping Ash decide where to go and get a suit.

"You ready to go to Jasper?" Eve asked.

"Yes," I said.

We walked to her truck in silence everything around us was silent no birds were singing, no woodpeckers, no squirrels, no nothing.

"That strange, usually it's not quiet," Eve said with worry.

"Maybe they sense a storm coming," I suggested.

"No if a storm was coming they would be going insane and not shutting up," she said. "It's probably nothing. Maybe they're just getting ready for the cold weather."

She had a point. It was getting pretty cold outside. There was frost on the windshield of the truck which told us it was coming faster then it should be.

We got to the town in Jasper and the streets were crowded with people and it was impossible to find a parking spot. We drove for about twenty minutes when we saw someone leave a parking space, we immediately took it before anyone else decided to steal it. We got out of the truck and it was not as cold as it was back out at the house.

"Okay, so we have to look for a store called 'White Bride' it has a lot of varieties to choose from, and I have a friend in there who will know what I want," she said with a laugh. "But I bet that you will also know what looks good on me too."

I smiled at her and she put her arm around me.

"This is going to be a great girls day out," she said.

I looked around and everyone seemed to be looking at me. I didn't look at them, but I felt their gaze right on me. Ilooked up to see what store we were at. I looked up and saw that we were here.

"Here we are, doesn't seem busy," she said with a smile.

We walked in and we saw nobody there.

"Hello Susan are you in here?" Eve called out. " Susan, this isn't funny where are you hiding,' Eve said with worry.

"Do you have her number on you so you can call and see where she is?" I asked.

"Yes I do," she said.

Eve dialed the number on her phone and we waited for an answer. We heard the phone ring in the back of the store. We walked toward the sound and when we went around the corner what I saw I will never forget. Susan's head was ripped off from her body and the rest of her was splattered everywhere.

"Oh my god Snow don't look call the cops!" She said in a panic.

"Okay," I said.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you," said a deep voice.

I looked behind me and saw two men dressed in suits. One was covered in blood from head to toe.

"Your friend here wasn't much help to us in trying to find you but, here you are in a bridal store," he said.

"And she was delicious too," said the other man.

"You son of a bitch that was my best friend that you killed!" Eve yelled at the man.

"Now now don't get yourself worked up now Eve we asked her a question she didn't answer so we did what we thought was right," said man 1.

"You know him?" I whispered to Eve.

She shook her head.

"Who are you guys?" Eve asked.

"Oh how could I have forgotten, I'm Axel and this is Razor,"

"Yeah I bet his name is Razor because he killed my friend," She said.

"Enough talk, we're here to do a job," Axel said.

"What's that," said Eve.

Before I heard what he was going to say everything went dark.

I woke up with a sore head and was lying in a bed strapped down. I looked around and saw a man outside of the doors. He seemed to be talking to someone. I saw him come to the door and he looked inside then opened the door.

"Hello Kizzy I'm..."

"It's Snow now, I don't take the name of Kizzy anymore," I said with attitude.

"Okay then, Snow I'm Doctor Shaw and you have nothing to worry about you're perfectly safe here now and no one will take you now," he said with a smile.

"I wasn't taken, I was rescued from you guys," I said to him. "where's Eve?" I asked with worry.

He walked to my bed and and tied the straps.

"You don't have to worry she's alive we knocked her out and left her at the shop. Oh and you won't be seeing any of them again," he said.

"No! You can't keep me here, I don't belong here in this place, I'm not your prisoner," I said.

He looks at me with a smile.

"Your not a prisoner you're a guest to some people and family to others,"he said.

"Family? My family is back in Jasper, and now I'm here in this place where ever it is."

"Your in North Dakota Snow."

"What! Why am I here?" I asked.

"Because someone wanted to see you and make sure you were safe," he said.

"Yeah and who would that be may I ask," I said to him.

"I'm glad you asked."

"He turned and walked to the door and opened it just so h could peek his out and told someone they could come in. When he turned to face me I saw that the people that he told were people I knew. People I knew 12 years ago.

"M-mom, d-dad," I said with a stutter. "I thought you were dead".
