Chapter 21

I woke up to the sound of people barking orders outside my door at seven in the morning. I got out of my bed and got dressed and started to open my door when Axel barged in.

"Hey Snow, good to see your up," he said.

"Yeah, I was woken up by those people,outside my door, who are yelling at them to do stuff," I said.

"Well that's what will happen when one of our most dangerous subject escapes and we have no idea where he is," he said.

I looked at him as if he was joking. But by the way he was looking at me and the way he said didn't sound like a joke.

"So you guys have a maniac in here. I thought you said it was a safe place," I said.

"Ya, he was one of our first and when we did the test on him he wasn't himself anymore. He started destroying things and attacked staff. And we used him as our lab rat until they told him that we didn't need him anymore, and he got mad and killed one of the scientist. So we brought him here and he asked why they didn't need him..." he stopped mid sentence.

"What?" I asked.

"They told him that they had another person they could use the pills on, and that person was you Snow," he said "And when we told him he went psycho after that and we just left him in there. I'm Now he escaped and they are now on guard duty on your room twenty-four seven."

"Now it's going to be harder to sneak me out," I said with a sigh.

"Not if the guy, who is sneeking you out, is the one on watch by the time we are supposed to get you out of here," he said with a smile.

I looked at him the excitement in my eyes. I was glad that I was going to get out of here even tho a psych maniac was on the loose I don't care.

"But when I come to get you you have to be ready to move fast we don't get caught, and your friends also have to move fast to get in and out," he said.

"Sounds like a plan to me," I said to him.

Before he could walk out my door I said to him "Thank you for doing this, helping me get out of here and letting my friends finally getting a chance to destray this place, and I'm sure Stitch would have been glad that you were helping."

"Let me tell you something, me and Stitch were friends since we were in high school. We did everything together, we even cheated off of each other on tests. But one day we were in our dorm and I heard him talking to himself in his sleep, so I looked over at him and when I did he didn't look human. He leaped on top of me and bit me on my arm," he lifted up his sleeve and saw the scar where Stitch bit him, "and after that he fell on the floor and went back to looking human again. Then the next day he tld me that he was a werewolf and that soon I will be one."

He looked down at his feet and rubbed his arm.

"Was his name Stitch went you knew him then?" I asked.

"No, his name was Sam," he said, " I should get going and be getting ready for tonight, see you soon."

He turned away and went out my door. After he left I kept thinking about the story about how Stitch bit Axel, even tho when I met him he looked harless. But maybe when that happened he had no control like me when I had to turn.

I took out a backpack out from under my bed, one that Axel gave me, I put all of my stuff in there, and I hid it back under my bed to hide it. It was almost noon and mylunch would be brought up to me, and all of my other mels, to me because I am on lock down. The food here wasn't all that bad but at least it was normal food unlike the stuff back at the orphanage.

It's almost eleven o'clock at night. Axel will be here soon to come and get me. I grab my backpack and sit it beside me on my bed and I stare at my door and wait.

I hear footsteps coming toward my door. The door opens and there's Axel standing there with my door wide open. I looked up at him and noticed something wrong. His face looked beat up.

"What happened to you?" I asked worried.

"Some of the guards found out our plan and they jumped me, now let's get out of here before they gain conciousness and come after us and kill us and your friends."
