Chapter Eight-Friggen Fun(2)

The group of friends had finished every game off of the list except for Vision's choice, which was of course scrabble. Peter was very invested in the game which was not normal for a 16 year old. They took turns so everyone got to play at least once and vision played each time (and won each time).
Of course the asgardians both lost because there was a lot of midgard things they did not understand or know about. Such as scrabble. Loki tried to stab the board and Thor walked away angrily to go get some snacks. He ate when he got angry. Actually he just likes his pop tarts.

Everyone was chilling on the couch with some classical music playing in the background, compliment of steve. Peter was asleep on a bean bag and for once wasn't having any bad dreams but instead good ones.
Tony sat on a stool In the kitchen checking the news to make sure he hadn't missed some sort of important meeting. Again. They usually complained on the news and that's how he finds those things out. Instead this time though he found something that upset him.

"Local Woman In Queens Commits Suicide!
May Parker was found dead in her apartment on Feburary 1st. Her boyfriend called the police and a search party went out for her nefew Peter B. Parker but no one currently knows where he is. Authorities say he has been skipping school and has not been seen since that day. The last place he was seen was in the apartment walking in on the scene of May's death according to May's boyfriend. If anyone has any information on the whereabouts on Peter they are asked to call the authorities because he is a youth and they are worried for his saftey."

*Stark's POV*

Holy shit kid! Why didnt you tell anyone?
"P-Peter? Come h-here for a second" I felt like a terrible person for not finding this out sooner. He slowly got up and groggily walked my way eyes not fully opened.
"Yes Mr. Stark?"
"I was reading the news...why didnt you tell anyone?" My voice was full of sympathy and a little anger. I didnt have to say what i was talking about when I said the news but Peter knew. His eyes shot open wide and he began to tremble.
"Kid" I sighed out. Grabbing the kids shoulders. "I get what it's like to lose someone but hiding it isnt gonna help anyone. Okay?" Peter nodded at me, shaking even more. His eyes got red and I knew he was going to cry. I pulled him in for a hug and he held on tight tears streaming down his face and running onto my shirt. Across the room Pepper looked confused but walked over and wrapped her arms around the back of Peter, us both wrapping him in a surrounded hug. I was a little embarrassed at how much I liked it. I felt like we were parents comforting our child. Then I felt bad because I knew he had no parents and he had been hiding here with out telling anyone of his aunts death. I awkwardly put my hand on the back of his head and rubbed his hair. Pepper smiled at me, seeing I was at least trying.
"C'mon, why dont you tell me what's wrong" Pepper said holding Peter's hand and walking off to a set of chairs. Him following her like a little kid.
"What's up?"
"I um, bad dream" peter said looking away from her. We made eye contact and my eyes were pretty much screaming at him to tell her the truth.
"Are you sure?" For not having any kids she sure knew how to read them.
"Nomyauntdiedanditsallmyfaultbecauseshesaidshehadtodoitotherwisepeopleweregonnacomeaftermeandiwouldratherthemkillmethanherkillingherselfandnowmyparentsmyfriendandmyauntandunclearedeadbecauseofme!"

"Hey, hey Pete. Slow down"
"I-my aunt killed herself because of me. People threatened to come after me if she didnt do it and now it's all my fault shes dead. Just like the rest of my family!" Peter cried out covering his face to cover his sobs.

The rest of the avengers plus Loki and Stephen. But not romanoff gathered at the door but I waved them away. Then I heard a swoosh and I knew they were trying to cheat the system but I moved to where I was blocking the portal hole. "Let the little пуак have his privacy" Natasha said snacking the wizard in the back of his head as the portal closed. I could hear Stephen from the family room say "that wasn't nice" with Loki laughing his ass off in the background.

"Hey, its gonna be okay Pete, she may be gone but it was for a good cause. And don't ever believe you are alone. You have a whole household of people here who care about. And strange. Not Loki though NEVER trust Loki, she half smiled remembering the trouble the God of mistieff has caused.
Pepper brushed the troubled kids cheek and he melted into her hand finally showing trust as if he were a cat. He looked so broken and I could tell that broke Pep's heart. It sure did me.

After Peter went back to sleep on his spot we had a team meeting including Strange and Pepper, Loki showed up no matter what with Peter's black cat named Burrito. His Calico cat, Taco, layed on Thors head and the God was enjoying it.

"Sooooooooo" I began trying to start the conversation before being bombarded with questions. "Cap you wanna take over?"
"I dont even know what happend tony!" Steve said.
I took a deep breath and continued "SHUT THE HELL UP! Thank you. Anyways, Peter's Aunt received a notice saying that if she didnt kill herself by February first the people who sent the notice would go after him. I have no idea who this person is and how they know about Peter being Spider-Man but we need to find out. May being gone just makes it harder for Peter to make rational decisions and he will not be in good shape to escape if captured. The kid is being searched for by the government because he needs to be put in a foster home I assume".
"You dont want him to go into one of those" Wanda says obviously from experience.

"What are we going to do? He currently has no guardian and that's a little bit illegal" I dont even know what to do at this point. I dont want the kid leaving but its illegal for him not to have a gardian.

"Tony..." Pepper trails off from her sentence.

"What if you just adopt the spider child?" Thir says patting the cat on his head.

"It doesnt just work that way" I say.

"It could" I hear Pep mutter.
"What do you mean? I know you would be a great mother but did you see me trying to comfort him? I'm not ready to be a father!"
"Tony the fact that you even TRIED to comfort him even though it made you uncomfortable shows that you are!"

"What if he doesn't want us too?" I couldn't explain how upset I was. Ut would be really nice to be his dad but I would fuck everything up and I know it.
I hear a slam downstairs and it startles me. I start to shake a little but every person there minus Loki and Stephen puts a hand on me or tells me it's okay and I start to calm down. Steve explains what that was about as me and Thor head downstairs. I still feel a little unease but that could just be me feeling scared for Peter. Pepper follows us.

As we get out of the elevator we find Peter on  his hands an knees and a womans figure in a black suit in front of him with dual golden guns.
