Chapter Nine-OH SHIT

*Sam's POV*

Walking into the compound I get a very surprising sight. Peter was on the ground. A random person with guns pointed towards the annoying kid, the woman stood in front of him. Tony, thor, and pepper stood across the room from me. I dont know how the hell someone got past our security but they did. Taking a better look at the guns I relize what's happening and with out thinking I say "OH SHITTT" the woman in black looks over at me and Natasha and Stephen come running out of the elevator then stop running once they see the situation. I might have my suit on right now but I have a feeling before I could fly to her she would shoot the boy.
Then I hear a muffled "oops, oh shit" and a loud bang. Looking up I see a hole then I looked down. Banner had fallen through the roof as the "Big Guy" and landed on the villain. But not with out a cost. Peter lay with just his chest sticking out from the chunk of roof. Banner got up and immediately began to freak out. "Oh nononononnnononononononono" he lifted up the chunk of material and picked Peter up. Slamming it back down on the stranger. He ran for the med bay and we followed after making sure the villian could not escape. They were dead so that was a no.

*Banner's POV*

Stupid Bruce. Stupid stupid. How could I have been so careless. I should have walked more slowly across the floor. I ran with an injured boy in my arms. I expected stark to yell at me but he didnt. I made it to the hall of the med bay but I kept running until I set Peter down. He didnt seem to really be bleeding but he was unconscious and his breathing was shallow. "Stupid stupid stupid" I mutter.
"Hey big guy..." Natasha said.
"Leve me alone! I HAVE TO HELP PETE!" I didnt mean to yell. I was angry at myself but it came out as anger towards the others.
"Banner...You need to understand that you're angry and that's not gonna help Peter. You need to calm down and help. Just help!" Tony said. He seemed angry and I knew I had to listen. I began to get small and changed into some not ruined clothes.

"*sigh* Sorry Stark..."
"C'mon Bruce. Let's go help the kid" he said with a smile. It weirded be out that he was smiling in this situation but after all he does like people to listen to his advice. Or it could be an act.

*3rd Person POV*

After a while of checking vitals and examining Peter Banner had decided he had a minor concussion and should wake up any time but if he doesnt after a few days the concussion would have probably gotten worse.

It had been two days and Tony sat in a chair next to the limp body feeling guilty. It was his fault for the security not working, right? That's what he thought at least.
He grabbed Peter's hand and rubbed the back. "I'm sorry kid..." he sighed.
"Its not your fault stark"
Tony turned around surprised not knowing anyone else was in there. A familiar face peeked out from a portal. Then came out a whole body. Instantly the red cloak flew off the wizard's shoulders and caressed Peter in what was the best a cloak could do for a hug then went back to its place as a cloak on Stephen.

"I should have made sure our security system was always up and running after what had happend with his aunt." Tony's voice came out in a raspy way that Stephen could tell he had cried earlier and was holding back tears now.
"He's gonna be okay stark"
"How do you know that?! Huh!?" His voice was shakey. Stephen was going to reply but then he relizes who he was talking to. "That's good" he mumbled out feeling like a jerk after yelling at the wizard.

"Tony?" Pepper walked into the med bay. "You really should eat" she said placing her hands on his shoulders.
"She's right Stark. You know Peter would feel terrible if he knew you were doing this to yourself".
"I-i know..."
"C'mon, let's get you some dinner" Pepper grabbed his hand and he followed intertwining his with hers.

Sitting at the table with the rest of the Avengers (and Stephen and Loki once again) he felt embarrassed. The bags under his eyes looked worse than a zombie and his hair was a mess.
"Hey Stark" Steve said, excited to see his friend at the table.
"H-hi Rogers" he said, looking at the man and noticing something. "Did you have fun?" He mocked, smirking. Steve mouthed "shit" and pulled up the collar of  his shirt a little. Hiding what his oldest "freind" had done to him.
Natasha noticed what had happend and she kind of snorted before proceeding to laugh so hard she wheezed.
"Damn Cap" she said regaining her breath. Bucky blushed and the rest of the group just looked at the three confused.
"Well you're in a bit of a 'stucky' situation" Natasha said. Looking at Steve as he tried to hide his neck more.
Then she looked over at Tony and saw how quickly his mood had deteriorated.
"Here you go, T" she said passing him a small glass of whiskey.
He gave a weak smile and downed the drink. He only picked at his food. Eating just a piece of pepperoni from his Pizza and hiding the rest in a napkin. He thought no one noticed but someone did.

"Tony" Pepper said taking a seat next to him in the med bay. "Why wont you eat?" She said. Her voice dripping with worry.
"I did eat" he stated.
"Tell that to your napkin".
"I ate breakfast..."
"No you didnt"
"I'll eat when I'm hungry..."
"You ARE hungry" she angrily pointed and his empty stomach. She started crying and Tony felt bad.
"I-im sorry Pep" he whispered.

"N-no" Pepper and Tony look over to see Peter a crying mess curled up in a ball on the bed, his IV pulled out from moving. Pepper wiped her eyes and leaned against the rail of the medical bed. Tony got up and sat on the side of the bed, pulling Peter in for a hug.
"Hey, hey kid its okay" he said with tears in his eyes.

After Peter was comforted and tears were wiped from his face he looked up and really saw mentor for the first time since waking up.
"M-mr. Stark, are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm good. I'm really glad you're awake" he said sleepily wiping his eyes. Peter got up and stumbled to the door. His body still weak. He wanted to see how the others were doing.
