Chapter 7: It all started with a loud boom

Amulet walked up the stairs to her room, she sat on her bed next to Lexi and gave her a hug. Lexi smiled. "Thank you so much for taking care of me.." Lexi said. "No problem!" Amulet said with a smile. Lexi smiled back at Amulet. Then suddenly, Lexi heard a knock on the door. Amulet got up from her bed, she yelled to one of her sisters "Mala! Can you keep my injured friend company?!". Mala hovered up to her sister "Okay!". Mala then hovered to her room while Amulet hovered down the stairs to her front door. Then she heard a loud bang, it seemed like that person on the other side was getting impatient. Amulet opened the door to see Lexi's mother. "How does she know where I live?" Amulet thought to herself. "H-how did you know where I was..?" Amulet said nervously. Violet stared down at Amulet and said "it was easy, I was stalking you the whole time!". Amulet hovered backwards in fear. She couldn't let Violet take Lexi. Amulet pushed Violet to the ground, but she got back up again. Violet hovered up to Amulets room and grabbed Lexi by her bandaged nub. Lexi screamed in pain. She also took Pong with her as well. Violet quickly hovered out of the house before Amulet and Mala could do anything to save them. Amulet sobbed on the floor. Violet rushes back to her house and threw Lexi onto the floor. Lexi turned to her mother while tears streamed down from her eyes. "Mother, w-why.." Lexi said while struggling to get up. Violet smiled "I only care about my husband, I hate both of you weaklings..". Pong sobbed on the floor, he crawled over to Lexi and hugged her. Lexi smiled but then quickly turned into a frown when she heard a loud boom. Violet hovered outside and saw that some void kumu's were attacking their village, Nub Village. "ANTHONY! COME OUTSIDE NOW!" Violet screamed. Lexi hid herself with a nearby blanket and pulled Pong under with her. "P-pong.. I don't want to die..." Lexi said with a scared tone in her voice. Pong comforted Lexi. "You won't die, big sis.." Pong said nervously.
