NICK'S POV:
I woke up in a hospital bed, hooked up to a bunch of machines.
"Hello! How are you feeling?" A fox-nurse asked.
"Good... I guess..."
"That's great, considering you've been out for 8 hours."
"Yeah."
"You shouldn't be talking right now. You just went through lung surgery and you're kind of unstable since there's still lots of acidic liquid in your system... I'll put on a goat documentary!"
The fox-nurse pushed some buttons and apparently wanted me to watch a mountain goat documentary. She quickly left.
A&R productions welcomes you to Minerals: A Goat Story.
Two guys around my age said very officially on the tv before there were just goats. They seemed familiar. Wait... A&R... Ace and Ryan?!
I fumbled around in my pocket and grabbed my phone, which was technically impossible because of everything going on right now.
I had layers of ace bandage on my arms and legs to keep the acid from destroying me, I was hooked up to some IV type things and of course a giant freaking oxygen mask that covered almost my entire face. Well, I did just have lung surgery and some other stuff to get the acid "out of my system" but obviously it was still there.
mountain ibexes climb almost 90 degree angles to lick salt deposits. they crave that mineral.
Focus yourself and CLICK ON THE PHONE APP.
*calling: Glasgow*
I waited for her to pick up.
COME ON GLASIE!! PICK UP YOUR PHONE.
"Hello?! Nick?!" Glasie came through perfectly.
"I'm technically not allowed to be on my phone right now, but Ace and Ryan made a goat documentary."
"WHAT?!"
"Yeah. I gotta go."
"I respect that bro. Feel better."
"Bye."
I hung up on Glasie quickly but after that I took like 50 pictures of everything and sent them to her.
NICK: analyze these and get info
GLASIE: kThen I noticed a phone charger. Score.
goats are magnificent. some climb trees. others crave minerals.
Then that strange documentary was over. I had nothing to do for a while except attempt to play Geometry Dash and fail horribly.
"You feeling better?" Fox-nurse asked.
"Yeah, thanks."
"Oh, my name's Rowan by the way. Do you know who A&R are?"
I wanted to say yes... But it was risky.
"Sorta..."
"Well, they think they're messengers." Rowan laughed.
"Who's the real messenger?"
"I think it's your friend. But she has to choose someone to go along on her messaging adventures between dimensions..."
"How do you know about my friends?!"
"Arabelle told me everything... About how you saved Glasgow and almost got killed... Personally I think she'll choose you. But that's a problem."
"What?!"
"A&R think they rule Deliria... But they don't. They're only 'messengers' and they've gotten our leader to make a law about how long someone can stay in a hospital... It's 2 months."
"I'm sure I'll be fine."
"Apparently they found your medical records and did some experiments on how long it would take for the acid to go away and made the time period significantly shorter..."
"Can I go back to Arabelle's soon? I have to talk to Glasie and she's so far away..."
"Can't do that, sorry. You're hooked up to like 14 machines right now. Delirian medicine isn't used to covering danger acid... So you're very unstable. I could try to get her here although it would take a lot of persuasion from A&R." Rowan sighed.
"Why are A&R acting like they run Deliria? Get your old leader back and get them out."
"It's not that simple... There's a war coming without a true messenger. Tigris can't handle all of this."
"I get that. But can you please get Glasie here?"
"I'll try." Rowan quickly walked out.
NICK: hey Glasie you might be able to get over here
NICK: but I'm not sure
GLASIE: can someone else come I don't wanna be a loner dragon
NICK: maybe Strawberry or Alex but that's it. Probably Alex because I know Strawberry loves chilling with Paul and Bob lmao
GLASIE: why not everyone
NICK: this is top secret
GLASIE: is it about ace and Ryan??
NICK: sorta kinda.
GLASIE: ? ok as long as someone comes with me
I laughed at Glasie's silly texts and continued playing geometry dash.
