To Hate or to Love

School Again

We wake up and get ready for school.

It's was a long night and we should hurry if we want to be there on time.

Me, Jo, and Annie rush around trying to find our makeup, shoes and phones.

I find my phone and pick it up.

The screen flashes 'ONE NEW MESSAGE'

I unlock it and see a message from BESTIE💟💁

FROM

BESTIE💟💁 Have a good day at school love❤

TO

BESTIE💟💁 Will do👍

I quickly lock my phone and put it in my back pocket.

Me, Finn, Annie, and Jo rush out the door and over to my car.

We all jump in and I turn up the music and speed to the school.

We all jump out and run down the hallways to our lockers.

Me and Jo walk to math and walk in right before the bell rings.

"And why might you two be late?" our math teacher asks us strictly.

"We weren't late. We walked in before the bell rang," I say sitting down.

"No miss Everdeen you were late. and so were you miss mason," the teacher says.

"Go get a tardy slip," she says pointing to the door.

"Heck no," Jo says sitting down.

"We rushed all the way here and I'm tired, I ain't walkin half way across the school to get a freakin tardy slip," Jo says angry.

"Well then, why don't you two go to the office an explain this to them," she says smirking.

"Oh we sure will do that, just to get away from you," I say and walk out with Jo in tote.

We walk to the office and sit I the plush chairs.

"Hello Miss Everdeen, Miss Mason," Mrs. McIntosh says nodding.

"Hey Mrs. McIntosh, can me and Jo stay up here for a while because our math teacher is being a jerk," I say pleading.

"Of course!" she says.

"Thanks," we say and lean back into the chairs.

"I hate that teacher," I say.

"Same," Jo says picking at her nails.

We talk for most of the period and then decide to go back to class to pick on the teacher some more.

We walk in and the teacher says right after the bell rings,"the bell does not dismiss you, I do,"

"If the bell doesn't dismiss me, it doesn't decide when I arrive either. Case closed." Jo says walking out.

I follow behind her and the whole class follows me.

Ha, serves the teachers right.

We go meet Annie and Finnick by the oak tree.

We sit down and start to chatt when a paper airplane hits my head.

I open it and see the words in a neat little row 'check your phone'

I pull out my phone and see a new text.

I look up and see everyone staring across the school yard.

I hear many yells and screams.

I guess it's a fight.

I wonder who's fighting.

I get up to go find out and see who is fighting.

When I break through the crowd I see two people that make my heart clench.
