Sabrina POV
The past couple of weeks have been absolutely crazy. After my mothers outburst I decided on getting that intervention order on her as I was scared for my safety. She also was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and a few other things.
Michael has been a godsend to me in this time. He has picked up the pieces with my break downs and has put my life and soul back together. Last week he asked me to officially move in with him. Practically, I was already living with him but we made it more official. Jayla wasn't too upset about that. I think she was fist pumping all the way home after we had told her the news. She finally had her house back for her and Shane to enjoy.
Tonight Michael and I are travelling into the city for the weekend. He wanted to treat me to some time away. He always puts me first which sometimes makes me upset as he also deserves time for himself. He is currently packing his bag for the weekend. "Babe don't forget to pack an evening gown. I have something really special planned for this weekend which involves us getting dressed up"
"Which colour would you prefer?" I ask while staring at all the dresses in the closet. "I have the black one or the navy blue?" "Either one will be fine babe. I like them both on you, but I prefer them off you and laying out on the bedroom floor" He raises his eyebrows at me suggestively and then winks. "You are disgusting Michael. I'm bringing the navy blue dress" I place the dress in a costume bag, grab my other bags then head out for the door.
The drive to the hotel took us a couple of hours. I ended up falling asleep in my seat. Michael gently nudged me when we arrived "We're here Doll face". I slowly opened my eyes and saw the hotel we are staying at. My jaw dropped. One of the most expensive hotels in the city and Michael has organised 2 nights here for us.
"Oh my god babe. Seriously? We are staying here?" I look at Michael with tears in my eyes. He only responds by giving me a small kiss. We open our doors and get out. Michael grabs our bags and throws his keys to the valet. Upon entering the hotel, my breath hitches in my throat. Absolutely breath-taking.
Michael checks us in and we ride the elevator up to the 10th floor. He opens the door to the room and my breath catches in my throat again. The room has been decked out with rose petals and candles. Thankfully they are not lit. There is a bottle of champagne on ice with 2 glasses. I look at Michael with oversized bug eyes. "Ummmm babe, what is going on?" He looks back at me "Oh nothing gorgeous. They must have set up the wrong room. I will contact reception and sort it out"
Not even bothering to second guess what he has just said, I turn to look out the window. The view from up here is to die for. The people on the sidewalk look like ants and I swear if I just reached my hand out I would be able to touch the clouds. I turn around after people watching to find Michael on bended knee with a ring box in his hands.
Tears prickle my eyes, my legs feel like jelly. I quickly grab the chair to my left side. Michael looks at me and starts his speech "Sabrina, I know we have only been together for a short amount of time but the love I have for you will never faulter. I love everything about you. I love that you wear your heart on your sleeve and that no matter what happens in your life you always tell me there are people worse off" He takes a deep breath
"I love you from the top of your head to the bottom of your feet and a few special places in-between. You make me smile and make me laugh and I can only hope that I do the same for you. Sabrina, life with you is only going to get better and better and whatever challenges arise I hope that we can fight them together" Soft sobs escape my mouth but Michael powers on
"Sabs, you are the peanut butter to my jelly, the rainbow after the storm, the glaze on my doughnut. You have stolen my heart and I would be absolutely honoured if you would steal my last name. Sabrina Louise Morris, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife?"
Oh my ever loving god. I'm so glad I still have a hold of this chair. The tears are flowing freely by now and I am speechless. Michael just asked me to marry him. I cannot believe this. He is looking at me with expectant eyes. I smile at Michael and nod my head 'yes'
I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Yes Michael, YES" I jump into Michael's arms and smash my lips onto his. I kiss him with everything I have. He slips the ring onto my finger and it is absolutely stunning. Nothing too big and fancy but just exactly what I like. Michael picks me up and spins me around while kissing every inch of my face. "You have made me the happiest man on the planet Sabrina. I cannot wait to announce it to the world. I am going to marry my best friend. Someone who knows me inside and out and I cannot wait to help you plan the rest of your life to me"
