Chapter 27

Chloe's POV

Today is Christmas Eve evening, Bryson and Uncle Brandon came this morning, we're just waiting on Abigail and her company.

"Mommy can we open up a present early?" Claire asked, I looked around the room and they all mouthed 'room'. "No now go to your rooms." Yeah I know how to act too, "But mommy you said not to go in our rooms." She said "Claire, Ceecee, and Mason go to your rooms now." My heart is hearting, they look so sad.

They picked up their bunnies and exited the living room. "My heart hurts." I said "We know Chloe but lets go." Rosie said as we walked upstairs and towards the kids room, they still didn't open up the doors. They open their doors at the same time.

They screamed I was about to go in there until they ran out with smiles on their faces. "Thank you so much." They said hugging us "Hey don't thank us Chloe did this." Lola said. Then they hug me "We love them." Ceecee said "And so do the bunnies." Mason added.

"Well I'm glad you guys and the bunnies like it." I said "Not like it love it." Claire said "I'm sorry, I'm glad you guys love it. Now are you guys staying up here or coming back downstairs with us?" I asked them "We'll be down later." Claire said before they ran into their rooms.

We went back downstairs "I wish our stuff was here already." Cleo said laying her head on Bryson's shoulder. They're each other's favorite cousins and are close at the hip. "Hey guys." Abigail said walking into the living room. "Hey Abigail." I said as we all hugged her "Where's your girlfriend?" Avery asked "Right here." She said as she went out the living room for a second.

Cleo's POV

OH Hell No!! Out of all people why him. I looked at Chloe, she was on her phone then my phone vibrated and she looked at me.

Chloe: I need you guys to act like your dating. I know it's going to be weird but you have to do it.

I looked at Bryson, he nodded "Guys I want you to meet Catherine and her brother Carter." Abigail said "Nice to meet you Catherine and it's good to see you again Carter." Chloe said glaring at Carter causing him to put his head down, I cleared my throat "Hi Catherine I'm Cleo." I said shaking her hand. "Oh my gosh are you guys twins?" She asked me and Chloe.

"No this is my older sister Chloe, let me introduce everyone to you." I introduced everyone to Catherine and sat back down next to Bryson a little closer than before. "Why don't you kids show Carter around?" Lucy said.

"You know Mom I think that's a good idea right guys." Lily said "Yeah how about we start with the backyard and work our way inside." I said standing up, I would throw him in the pool but Mom will beat my ass.

We all went outside, Bryson put his hand over my shoulder. This isn't anything new to us, every time he doesn't like someone we'll pretend that we're dating. When we was done showing him the parts of the house he could see they went back to the living room.

I stood in front of the pool watching the water shimmer under the moonlight. I was there until I heard the door open and close behind me "You know you should get inside it's cold out here." I heard his voice I ignored him.

"Cleo please talk to me." He pleaded "Carter I have nothing to say to you." I said "Well I do and I know that Bryson is not your boyfriend." He said. "And why do you think that." I asked looking at him "I love you Cleo and whatever you do I will keep loving you and you said it yourself you was falling in love with me." He said holding my face.

"Yeah I was until you did what you did." I said pushing his hand away "I know Cleo and I'm so sorry. And I will never forgive myself for doing it but please Cleo take me back." "I'm sorry Carter I just can't, I've moved on I think you should too." I said going to walk away but I get pulled back and his lips are on mines.

After a couple seconds I realized what he's doing and push him away from me, he tried to hold onto me but he wind up pulling me into the pool with him. I quickly get out and look at him "You jerk I knew you would never change." I said before walking inside, Maggie gives me a towel I say thank you before heading to the stairs which you can see from the living room.

I heard Lily and Chloe calling me but I ignored them and keep going. I went to the closet and sat on the couch in the window. Cupcake came and sat next to me, he stole a moment that supposed to be with someone special to me. I heard a knock at the door I look up and see Chloe and Lily.

"Hey Coco." Chloe said softly "Hi." I said weakly "What happened out there?" She asked "We was talking then he kissed me." I said "He stole my first kiss." I added as Chloe pulled me into a hug "At least he was thrown into the pool." Lily said "Yeah but I got pulled in there too." I said "Come on lets change your clothes." Chloe said making me stand up.

After I was done I sat back in the window "Are you coming downstairs?" Lily asks "Nah I'm gonna stay up here for a while." I said "Okay I'll send up your plate." Chloe said "Your the best." "I try." She said before her and Lily left.

"Cleo?" I heard Catherine say "the closet." I call back, she walks in "I brought you your food." She said handing me my plate "Thank you." I said "He told me what he did and I'm sorry that he did that." She said "Thank you but it's not your fault." I said "I know but as his older sister I have to and I knew something was wrong from the moment Chloe glared at him." She said laughing at little at the end.

"Don't mind her she was just being protective but she's really nice." I said "Yeah Abigail told me about her, but he's missing out on an amazing girl right here and if I was you I would make him see what's his is missing." She said. "Don't worry I'm working on it." I said, she left and let me eat.
