Chapter 47

Claire's POV

Today is September 6th and we go back to school today but the only reason I'm excited is because I get to see my best friends. Yesterday I helped Mia and Mommy finish the nurseries. "Bye Mama." I say kissing her cheek and getting out the car.

Amber and Roxy runs up to me "Did your mom have the twins yet?" Amber asks "No she's only 35 weeks and 2 days." I said as we walked in the school "But what did you guys do this summer?" I asked "I went to Mexico it was fun but I missed you guys." Roxy said "We missed you too Rox." Amber says.

"Alright our first day of fourth grade. Are you ready?" I asked but then I see Ceecee and Mason, I quickly hugged them then went back to my friends "Yeah let's go." We walked inside and took our seats and Mr. Garcia introduced himself.

Mason's POV

I turned 6 in May and today is the first day of first grade. "Hi Mason." My friend Apollo says "Hi Apollo." I said hugging him "Kids please take your seats." The teacher says so me and Apollo sit next to each other. "Thank you. Welcome back to school my name is Ms. Moore." We introduced ourselves and went over rules.

At recess me and Apollo was playing when I saw Claire and Ceecee with their friends. So we go over to them "Hi guys." Claire says "Hi." We say hugging them "How's your first day of first grade going so far?" Ceecee asks "It's fun and Ms. Moore is super nice." I said "What about you Apollo?" Amber asks "Same as Mason." He said.

We played together for the rest of recess and during lunch Jasmine sat next to us. "Hi boys." "Hi Jasmine." We say as we started eating "What did you do this summer?" "I went to the pool." Apollo "My mommy and Auntie found out the gender of their babies." I say "Well I went rolling skating." "I thought you didn't know how to roller skate." Apollo asked.

"You guys remember the day in February I told you about?" She asked we nodded. "Well I was at a skating ring and a girl name Cleo taught me how to." "Cleo is my aunt." I told her "Really?" "Yep." We ate and talked for the rest of lunch.

After doing work Ms. Moore let us color for the last 30 minutes of school. "Hey Mason?" Jasmine said "Yes?" "Do you like this?" She asked holding up a colored in heart "Yes it's pretty." She smiles and starts drawing hearts around the big one.

"Alright kids time to pack up." Ms. Moore says. I get my book bag but I have to use the bathroom so I put it on my desk and ask Ms. Moore to go to the bathroom.

When I come back I put my stuff in my book bag and put on my coat. When we get outside Apollo and Jasmine give me a hug bye but Jasmine's hug was little tighter.

I go to Uncle Lucas's car since he was picking us up today. When we got home we decided to do our homework in the living room as I was pulling out my stuff I found Jasmine's picture.

"Who's Jasmine?" Avery asked smiling "Is she the girl that was sitting with you at lunch?" Ceecee asked I nodded "Mason a une petite amie." (Mason has a girlfriend) Claire teases "Non je ne le fais pas."
(No I don't) I said as Mim and Chloe laughed.

"Can you talk in English for us to understand?" Dani asked "Je pense que Jasmine t'aime bien." (I think Jasmine likes you) Auntie Chloe says "So nobody is listening to us?" Maman asked "She said she met Cleo." I say "When?" Lola asks "In February on Cleo's birthday." I said as I finished my homework it was crossword puzzle.

"Cleo told me about helping a little girl named Jasmine roller skate." Auntie Chloe says then our bunnies come in the room "Hi Mocha." I said as he sits on my lap we got up and changed their food and litter boxes then washed our hands and went to the dining room.

Today we had fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. "You guys wanna try hot sauce?" Maman asked us "Can we get milk just in case?" Ceecee asked we got our milk and put it on the table. Maman put a couple drops on a small part of our collard greens and we tried it. It was tingling but I could still eat it "Can you put more?" Claire asked Maman put more on our food before starting to eat her own.

We drunk the milk after we ate because we didn't want to waste it. Mim and Auntie Chloe got their own type of milk but we know the difference. We took our showers and brushed our teeth then I went into my moms room.

"Hi Roselyne how you doing today?" I asked her she moved I guess she's doing fine. "Today was my first day of first grade and I like it and my teacher is nice. I can't wait to meet you goodnight." I kissed Mim's stomach and her cheek since she was already sleeping. "Goodnight Maman." I said kissing her cheek "Goodnight Mason." She said before I walked out the room.

I just quietly walked around until I was tired which didn't take long so I went to my room. I made sure Mocha was sleep because he likes to wonder then I got in bed and went to sleep.
