Unlikely Pairing

About last night

(Purgatory's P.O.V)

I was waken up before my alarm goes off by a knock on the door.

"Miss. Hoshi", I hear someone say.

"Who is it", I say still half asleep and with my eyes closed.

"It's Uraraka", she says, "We were wondering if you wanted to join us for breakfast."

"Of course", I say, "I'll be out soon."

I finally open my eyes and realize that what happened last night wasn't a dream. Hawks really did spend the night with me and he's still here with me.

I almost don't want to since he looks so peaceful but I have to wake him up.
"Hawks", I say while caressing his cheek, "Wake up."

He opens his eyes and smiles, "Am I dreaming or did I really sleep with an angel last night", he says.

I can't help but laugh and say, "Well this 'angel' has to go to work and so do you."

He sighs and says, "But I don't want to leave. I want to see you again."

"I go out on patrol tonight, remember", I say, "Knowing you, you'll find me."

"Ok kitten", he says, "But before I go, I need more sweetness", then kisses me softly on the lips.

After our goodbyes, we both get dressed and he leaves through the balcony while I go meet everyone for breakfast.

"Good morning class", I say as I meet them in the common area.

"Good morning Miss. Hoshi", I hear a few of them say.

"Hey Miss. Hoshi", says Mina, "You have something in your hair. I'll get it for you", then pulls out yet another red feather.

I visibly freeze then Uraraka saves me by saying, "Oh that must be from one of Estrella's toys. She must of left it on Miss. Hoshi's pillow since cats like giving their owners things to show that they love them."

"Yeah", says Kirishima, "My neighbors cat used to bring me a lot of random things and it was always pretty cute."

"Aww, that's so sweet", says Mina, "I guess this belongs to you then Miss. Hoshi", then gives me back the feather.

"Thank you Mina", I say trying to keep calm even though it feels like my heart is beating at 100mph.

I put the feather in my pocket then say, "Let's finish eating breakfast so we can get to class."

"Yes ma'am", I hear them say.

After breakfast, everyone takes off to class, but Uraraka, Kirishima, and Midoriya walk next to me.

"Miss Hoshi", says Uraraka, "Did Estrella leave that feather on your pillow?"

"Yeah", says Kirishima, "Even though we technically didn't lie for you, it still felt weird doing it."

"She didn't", I say.

"Then how did is get in your hair", asks Uraraka.

"Before I answer that", I say, "Do you all know why the party happened last night?"

"Well it was to welcome you", says Midoriya, "Wasn't it."

"It was", I say, "But did you kids ever find out who came up with the idea?"

"Not really", says Kirishima, "Now that I think about it, both Iida and Yaoyorozu said that the idea came from Tokoyami."

"But Tokoyami didn't even know who you were until yesterday", says Midoriya, "There's no way he could've known that much about you."

"Wait, but Shinso was there", says Uraraka, "And he said that he told everyone about the things you liked."

"But how could he have know", asks Kirishima.

"He did his work study with me", I say.

"Ok", says Midoriya, "But he wouldn't have known you were here since he's in class 1-B."

"Pro Heroes get a list notifying them what heroes are doing work studies and with what student", I say, "Just in case we find a student on the field without a pro near by. This way if the student got separated from their pro, we can let them know that we found them."

"So other heroes know what student does a work study with who", says Uraraka, "Wait, who did Tokoyami do his work study with again."

They think for a moment then Midoriya says, "He did his work study with Hawks!"

"Exactly", I say, "Now, think back, what did Tokoyami do right after class."

"Oh", says Kirishima, "He got a phone call and seemed to be really happy about it."

"Maybe he was talking to Hawks", says Uraraka, "Did he tell Hawks you were here?"

"It's possible", I say, "But now think. Would Hawks just tell a person 'Hey you should throw a party for someone' or would he be here to make sure it happened?"

They think for a second then they all say, "Hawks was here!?"

"Yup", I say, "I'm pretty sure he convinced Tokoyami to let him in somehow since he's not supposed to be here unless accompanied by UA staff."

"And Tokoyami could've gotten into a lot of trouble for it too", says Midoriya, "Even if it is a Pro Hero, we're not supposed to let anyone in unless told to do so and if we have a pass for them."

"Please don't tell anyone", I hear someone say from behind us.

"Tokoyami", says Uraraka when we turn around.

"Hawks doesn't like lying", says Tokoyami, "So when he told me he was here to see Principal Nezu, I believed him. As soon as I let him in though, he let me know what was going on between the two of you and apologized. I recognized that he just wanted to do something good and I decided that I would help him. Please Miss. Hoshi, I know that you're supposed to abide by the school rules since you are a teacher now, but please, I meant no harm."

I put my hand on his shoulder and say, "It's ok sweetie. I know you had good intentions. And don't worry, you won't be the first nor last person who has broken UA rules before. I'm pretty sure both students and teachers have broken them at least once. I know I have."

"Thank you Miss. Hoshi", he says and bows to me, "But Miss, if you don't mind me asking, why did Hawks need to apologize for? Did he do something wrong."

"Not directly", I say, "He was just the reason why the media had taken a picture of me but we took care of it already and everything should be ok."

"What about you and Hawks", he asks, "Is everything ok between the two of you?"

"Yeah", I say thinking about what happened last night, "You could say that we're pretty good now."

Then the bell to class ring, "Oh we should get moving", I say, "If Aizawa didn't let me be late being the only kid in class, I don't know what he'll do to you all."

The boys run off in front of me, but Uraraka stays behind, "Miss. Hoshi", she says, "What do you mean by you and Hawks being 'pretty good' now? Did something happen last night?"

"Um..", I say nervously, "Lets just say there was a reason there was a feather in my hair."

She thinks for a second then it hits her, "He was here last night with you, wasn't he!"

"Shh", I say, "Not too loud. But yeah, that's why I couldn't be too hard on Tokoyami just now. Technically I let Hawks stay with me so he was with a UA teacher."

She giggles then says, "You two need to go on a date!"

"We can't though", I say, "The media is always after him remember?"

"Oh yeah", she says, "Don't worry Miss. Hoshi, we'll figure something out. After all you do, you deserve to be happy too!"

"Thank you Uraraka", I say then the bell rings, "Oh damn we're late, run", then we both take off.
